Experiences - My most visual trip ever... From Marijuana!!!

AFOAF keeps sending me and my friends emails about a truly beautiful and amazing thing which happens to him when he smoked weed. I am in awe of how he acheives such states from a simple cone of marijuana, and thought i'd post it up for you guys to suss out. So here's one of the emails I recieved this afternoon from this FOAF.

i have used lsd, mushrooms, 2cb and dmt. my last weed trip (last night), i could feel everyone of these aspects in the trip. the way i was thinking was predominantly mushroom but also slightly 2cb, the visuals were very 2cb like but patterned like mushrooms. the closed eye visual world was almost identical to the worl of dmt, but obviously not as vivid, but just as amazingly intricate and colourful. i could feel hints of lsd at times, but the lsd part was very subtle.

it is amazing. everytime i use psychedelics, the high of my weed changes to incorporate the new experience. its like weed merges all of my previous trips together into one amazing trip. everytime i try a new psychedelic, the weed high changes to merging the new psychedelic experience in with the others. now im not a chronic smoker and i have only smoked weed 7 times, and each time after a new psychedelic experience the high has changed. last night was my most weed trip yet, and overall the most visual experience i have ever had in my life.

now i only need a very, very small amount of weed to get me tripping. so i loaded up only ONE cone with a 50/50 mix of weed and parsley, and hit it as hard as i could. my lungs suck so my hits were pretty small, but i held each one in for about 30 seconds. it took me around 3-4 hits to finish the cone, lol.

by about 10-15 minutes the visuals began. the first visual i noticed was as i stared at my window i could see the pokemon alakazam. it was a 2d sillohuette of him and it was ever so clear. i started getting tracers from simply moving my head, and strangely enough no objects were breathing. the last time i had a weed trip everything around me was breathing and shifting, very lsd like. this time i was seeing objects transform into other things, seeing paytterns in everything, rainbows everywhere and around everything, very mushroom and 2cb like. interesting because the last time i smoked i had used lsd twice and mushrooms once, and the last time the trip was very lsd. now that i have used mushrooms and 2cb twine, the trip becomes predominantly those two.

i put on infected mushroom and had the urge to dance. i got up and every single movement i made was expressing each part and note of the music. it was amazing, while i was dancing i could see the psychedelic patterns everywhere. i concentrated on the ones infront of me and saw a 3d psychedelic ferris wheel, every single molecule of its was morhping and twisting but it still made out a ferris wheel which was so unbelievably colourful. this was extremely dmt like.

after about 4 or 5 songs, i sat down on my bed and realized how heavily i was breathing, i didnt even feel tired yet was quite puffed out. very 2cb like. i decided to write some of the amazing things that were happening down, and as i stared across the paper i saw amazing lines of rainbow kailedescopes all over the paper, the sides of the papeer where leaking off into the air in jagged sections.

these are the things i wrote down, word for word:
- rainbow multi colours enveloping the paper
- infrequent audio hallucinations sound as real as reality (they were so loud they were hurting my ears but it was amazing how real it sounded)
- theme park of rainbow patterns, morphing twisting and always moving
- sound of pen scratching the paper rises and drop to the melody of humming bees. the flies 'zzzzzz' up and down with the tune of my pen (i could hear little creatues singing to the scratching of my pen. my pen scratching the paper actually became a tune in my head)
- audio hallucinations morphing between cultures (the tune in my head would keep doing the same melody but would morh from the sounds of trees to the sounds of tribes peaople to the sounds of old folk music etc)
- 3d rainbow patterns, CEVS!!! amazing, i literally get lost in them, forget where i am
- constant flows of thought and scenarios while writing
- brainthoughts are so quick time is slowing down (by the time it took me to write one word at a normal speed i had already come up with 4 or 5 amazing thoughts, my thoughts were so much faster than time)
- colours flashing brighter than reality (the patterns were overcoming my real view, it was like the psychedlic hallucinations were taking over)
- patterns in OEVs dominating reality vision
- OMG the OEVs! as i gaze at my window it transforms into mountains and all sorts of scenery, spiders, dinosaurs, maps, in window squares!
- it feels as though my previous trips were just as visual, i just didnt notice the visuals (weird i know, but its how i felt)
- the king is small and dominated because the queen is worth more in the game (the alice in wonderland queen, i got mixed up with chesss)

so yeah, it was unbelievably amazing. the most amazing visual of the night was when i was staring at my window. it is a big rectangular window, divided into squares. its really thick so you cant actually see clearly through it, just blurred visions of outside. since it was dark all i could see was a little light shining through. well i stared at the squares and they continued to transform into different things. i saw dinosaurs on them, mountains, a map of the world, itd turn different colours, and the little bumps would be outlined in rainbows. then everything in my vision dissapeared, and all i could see was the window. it was all surrounded by black and the window just began growing larger and larger. it started vibrating with rainbow patterns exploding all over it and became insanley 3d. then i blinked and it went back to normal. that would of have to been my best visual either that or the 3d psychedelic farresi wheel i saw when i was dancing. well yeah, that was the best visual of the night.

i also watched about 20-30 mins of alice in wonderland and I AM TELLING YOU the people who made that movie made it for tripping. everything that happens points out something that would happen in a trip. i was able to analyse every scene and realize how the guy had designed this scene from a trip. it was so cool. i could see how the mad hatter and the rabbit represented real people in life. i could see what each character represented. i also loved the chesire cat, i laughed at him alot, his jokes and riddles are so funny. i also remember staring at the curtains, everything in my vision became a kailedescope, the curtian divided up into octagons and these octagon sections started spinning around each other. this has happened on shrooms before.

the thoughts were awesome too. i came up with this real cool video clip, of a guy who lives in a psychedelic world. it is a cartoon world and everything around him is colourful and always moving, patterns exploding everywhere. but the guy is black and white to show his depression and annoyance of his world. so he walks down the street with these patterns and colours exploding all around him but he is just slouching over, walking, staring straight ahead. he gets home and his house is the same as outside, color everywhere, amazingly psychedelic, he goes into his room and his room is black and white and we see his room is cut off from the world, a place of his own self moarning and pity and depression. he pulls out a sheet of acid and eats a few tabs, and we see him go into a world like ours. it turns into real life, not cartoon anymore, and its the same guy who was depressed, but in a world the same as ours. he is amazed and becomes really happy, thinking our 'bland' world (in comparison) is amazing, the trees, the animals, the furniture, everything, he is really happy and amazed. then he ges back to his psychedelic world and becomes depressed again, bored of the amazing colours and patterns all around him. i thought it would show really well how much we take the beauty of this life and world for granted.

well i was just amazed at how much of a trip i had and wanted to share it with you guys. it was more visual than any of my mushroom or lsd trips, comparable to 2cb. i could also feel each and every bit of my trips mixed into this one trip. i could feel the 2cb aspect of it, the dmt aspect, the mushroom aspect of it, and the very very sublte lsd aspect of it. so basically all the psychedelics i had tried were combined into one big trip. it was awesome. also all up the trip lasted about 3 hours. when it had been 3 hours since i smoked, i was still getting visuals and patterns in my vision, but felt really tired and felt the mind fuck/altered thought was going back to normal, so i went to sleep.

anyone else have any amazing experiences like i did from weed? its crazy! and I LOVE IT! i only got one little cone of my friend cause i dont like to buy 10-20 bucks worth when im only going to use such a little bit. and i dont want to get into the habit of doing it consistently, i want to moderate it's bueaty. since i only used half of what i was given im thinking another trip tonight or on the weekend! GOD DAMN these trips are amazing!

Are you sure that wasn't weed with DMT sprinkled on top? Otherwise, I've never heard of anyone getting such effects from smoking cannabis.

Yes, from his previous emails I understand this FOAF was sure there was no DMT or other chemicals in the cannabis. (Hehe, and obviously DMT does not last 3 hours!) He told me his friends smoke the same cannabis (from the same source) and have a normal high. When it first happened he was amazed and to be sure it wasn't laced he smoked weed from a different source while with a friend, and it affected him the same way whilst his friend got the normal effects. He also told me he is extremely happy this happens to him as he never enjoyed the normal effects anyway (he got normaly effects before he used any psychedelics).

Sometimes when SWIM uses cannabis in the days directly following a highly successful psychedelic trip, lightly hallucinogenic effects reminiscent of the recent trip experience may re-emerge. After SWIMs first magic mushroom trip he had especially colorful, thought inspiring and visual pot highs for close to a week afterwards before the effects leveled out to normal again. But these effects are always a mild imitation of the original psychedelic experience, for SWIM. As much as he loves the fact that he can still feel the mushrooms inside him a little when he partakes of another sacred plant... it's not the same as the immersive beauty of actually being on mushrooms. The fact that your friend claims to trip harder on pot than he did from the psychedelics he has used sounds unlike anything I've ever encountered. I'm not gonna call the guy a liar but he must at least be exaggerating.

SWIM had an extremely tripped out visual/audio experience once, but it still wasn't much like what your friend is describing. But he can believe it, even if others will write it off as invented nonsense. People react to weed differently, and it can vary time to time and be influenced by use of other psychedelics, especially in someone with a naturally low tolerance. SWIM had an insane trip once that hasn't been repeated since, and he's still not sure why. Anyway I'll cut and paste SWIM's experience from another post, might have a couple references from that thread but explains what he's talking about and SWIM isn't going to type it out again.

SWIM has had full blown hallucinations with marijuana before, but only once in a very specific situation. SWIM assumes SWIY is referring to the shulgin scale in asking about the +4, and while SWIM couldn't call his crazy weed trip a +4 he would absolutely label it a +3. It was during a period of extreme polydrug use and cocaine addiction, so that might have something to do with it. It's also hard for SWIM to remember the exact details because he was so fucked up all the time during the couple weeks where this occured, but he'll try his best.

SWIM had some good hash and had just aquired some (real) chronic purple haze. A few weeks prior SWIM's friend had introduced him to the sobe waterfall smoking method, which SWIM's posted about in the paraphanelia section here. Even with regular weed this method got SWIM TRASHED, the first time he tried it he was unable to function for a couple hours and just generally retarted. Subsequent uses with better bud got him even higher, to the point of having mild visual distortions.

SWIM had smoked the hash before this incident but not with a waterfall, and hadn't tried the haze yet. SWIM made the rather unwise decision of testing out both smoking hash and potent, unterested weed for the first time, and of trying to make a waterfall out of a vitamin water instead of a sobe, which he'd never tried before. The experiment was succesful, but way more than SWIM bargained for. SWIM tightly packed a metal bowl from a detachable metal pipe melted into the cap full of weed and hash and then lit it. SWIM was only able to get about half the weed into the hit because he packed too much and he couldnt burn it fast enough. The smoke was dark yellow and so thick it sank into the bottle instead of rising when the cap was removed. SWIM guesses he thought a smaller container would just take less smoke, but SWIM has learned smaller waterfall/gravity bongs just pack the smoke unbeleivably tight. SWIM managed to take the whole hit at once, hold it for a couple seconds, and then he coughed for litterally at least 2-3 minutes, almost throwing up. SWIM was already high as fuck by the time he quit coughing, close to the highest he'd ever been, but stupidly decided to try and finish the bowl.

Long story short he did. But he spilled shit everywhere after taking the hit, and then stumbled, coughing violently, into his office before crumbling to the floor against the wall. SWIM then proceeded to have a full blown hallucinogenic experience (and SWIM was no newbie to them, he'd taken acid, shrooms, mesacline, 2C-E, nitrous, salvia, and more before this) staring at stacks of books on the floor of his office. He saw the books galloping towards him and somehow having a gladiatorial tournament on the floor (this made sense at the time, SWIM can't explain it visually), and somehow he KNEW that this tournament was for his life, and if the wrong book won he would die.

Then the real fucked up part began, as voices started in his head, a different voice for each book, a different word for each voice, all repeating in order. Somehow he knew they were descending, and the words were going down in the alphabet (IE all imaginary words starting with b, then c, etc) and he could feel himself descending. SWIM was terrified and got up and staggered into the kitchen. He looked at an overheard light and it morphed and shifted into a bees nest, which terrified SWIM because he's allergic. All the while the voices continued in his head, and after they passed z they went into imaginary letters (with imaginary words, still) and he could feel the rock bottom coming, could feel where the last letter was, and then last thing he remembers is walking into the living room and staring at the couch. He woke up on the floor 5-10 minutes later, still tripping a bit but much better.

SWIM is dead serious about all this, and it definately ranks pretty close to the top to the weirdest drug experience of SWIM's life. It was a more intense trip than any hallucinogen SWIM has ever tried save DMT (and maybe nitrous if you count that). SWIM would actually charaterize it as almost more dissocociative than psychedelic, especially after trying ketamine/nitrous/dxm, but in a way it was more like salvia than anything. Definately way too intense and not very pleasent at the time, but amazing in memory. SWIM has spent many nights thinking and discussing with others what happened (this was over a year ago) and still hasn't figured it out. For a while SWIM was convinced the smoke somehow eroded the plastic in the bottle and it was plastic fumes that got him. But after trying vitamin water/other plastic container waterfalls again after many others reported no weird effects SWIM didn't trip again either. SWIM wasn't on anything else at the time, and is pretty sure he hasn't done any psychedelics close to this trip (though it's hard to remember), since he was spending all his money on coke/narcotics. SWIM thinks the most likely possibility is just paranoia from the hard drugs mixed with a massive, concentrated dose of THC (SWIM is sure 5+ minutes of coughing helped too) but whatever it was SWIM has still yet to meet anyone with a similar experience, so who knows.

this FOAF said the fact that the same thing has happened with different types of weed and different types of smoking utensils, proves it is not some other chemical taking effect, that it is the weed and only the weed. this FOAF also noted that others smoking the same stuff got the usual high, proving it was normal weed.

yes i have heard this before aswell. but from what this FOAF said the last time he used any psychedelics, or any mind altering substance for that matter, was a good 2 months or more ago.

from what I can understand, this FOAF did not trip harder off the weed per se' but just had much stronger audio and visual hallucinations than hes ever experienced. from what he described it sounds like mushrooms, lsd and dmt are much, much more intense to him. from what i can tell this particular 'weed' trip is much easier to handle, more relaxed, just with lots of hallucinations

when he first sent me his email i was amazed and disbelieved him aswell, but he ASSURES me everything he wrote is 100% non-fiction!

We can argue till the cows come home about if this story if fiction or not but the truth is everyone reacts differently to drugs and it's possible this FOAF got in this state using only cannabis

damn, even tho it is a little hard to believe, swim wants to know what weed ur FOAF has, lol damn! lol bcoz she has definatly never or had that occur even after taking LSD, Schrooms etc, has found that when coming down weed can give it a little kick back in, or kick start it off, but never anything longer term! tho this swimmer has never had serious hallucinations whens smoking weed either, so who knows

SWIM also once had an extremely visual trip from making some extremely strong brownies. He witness his friend stretch out like he was made of rubber and slither up the wall and along the ceiling like a snake. Later SWIM climbed onto his roof through his attic room window and watched the patterns in the moon move around into different shapes. His two friends who shared the brownies also experienced very vivid visuals.

All three are experienced drug users and none of them had any idea that such experiences could be had from MJ. Swim was VERY impressed but has never managed to replicate the experience.

Maybe your foaf is getting flashbacks? Swim gets sally flashbacks when smokin' weed sometimes. The visuals aren't present but the dissociation and mental state is.

i believe that easily. i havent heard of many other people besides myself who have truly tripped balls just from smoking weed, but i swear to god its possible. how, i dont know. i used to trip out so bad just from a bong rip or two that i couldnt talk for hours. extreme visual hallucinations. i dont have time to describe in detail now but i will eventually, i just wanted to say that it IS definitely possible for things like this to happen.

but i want to warn anyone who experiences strong visuals from smoking weed: if you continue to smoke for years (as i have...) your tolerance will eventually rise, but please know that you are much more likely to acquire HPPD than a person who is affected normally. ive been a chronic smoker for about 4 years now and my hppd (hallucinogen persisting perception disorder...) has gotten so severe i can no longer drive at night. i see static, tracers, floaters, flashes of light, geometric patterns, patterns within patterns, my ears ring, i get light headed, i see tesselations with my eyes closed when im sleep drived, i could go on and on, and i plan to write a long post on here eventually.

anyway i just wanted to say if youre one of the lucky ones who trips balls from getting high, be careful. it can be fun (and fucking scary as hell actually) but youre susceptible to getting HPPD from this, whereas most people require some history of "real" psychoactives, like acid, for that to happen. also they mushrooms have this effect but the the funny thing is, tripping on mushrooms make all my HPPD symptoms go away. its the strangest thing... i get high very easily and trip quite intensely on an everyday basis, but while i trip on mushrooms i can smoke bowl after bowl after bowl and be impervious to it with none of the usual visual effects (which are very different than mushroom-visuals.) its very, very strange and ive yet to meet anyone who has ever experienced anything quite like this.

swim heard it was possible to have lsd like effects from just a cone has to be strong stuff tough. But only if someone who has not smoked for a month and then smokes a cone ,and only if you smoked much before the month non smoking cause then your body reconizes it.

SWIM smoked weed with mates only twice. All his mates do is laugh like mad then chill. SWIM got a nasty trip the first time and it took him 18 hours to become normal again.

The second time the trip was very pleasant, colourful and intense. SWIM and mate danced to DnB and techno, invented stories so that they could to get sucked into them. They took out a city-guide full of pix and "travelled" there without getting out of the sofa. Most of the time, SWIM felt that the flat was filled with 10 inches of water.

24 hours after getting stoned SWIM chewed some salvia divinorum in a night-club and had the most amazing 2 hours - the trip was so intense SWIM can only laugh when he thinks about it. All for less that £5. Money well invested.

SWIM is very very sensitive to caffeine too. Anything bigger then a medium capuccino sends his heart racing for hours.

SWIM is glad to know there are others who "overreact" to any substance.

Ever since Swim did nitrous, he now gets mild nitrous effects when smoking pot.

Time skips much more, and sounds sound slowed down and flanged like while on nitrous.

Not a problem, it's usually pretty nice, and consistent too.

SWIM once attained the dankest of the dank flame whilst visiting his relatives in Colorado. Now when I say dankest I mean the dankest SWIM has ever smoked. He tends to stay more in the commercial shwag area.

SWIM bought a new bong with a pretty big bowl piece and roasted a bowl of the stuff. It was amazing. SWIM has HPPD and the static just totally overwhelmed him. [not in a bad way like most people say] It was amazing. He could see huge bubble words made of static inside the already existing static. His thoughts seemed to be broadcast on a momentous screen in the back of his mind. That's how it felt; he couldn't actually see that. I think he went to sleep about a half hour later for he was so bloody tired.

While not up to par with the experience of your friend, I'd say I can believe the man/woman.

Parsley has Myristicin, aka 3-methoxy,4,5-methylendioxy-allylbenzene, in small amounts. AKA the active shit from nutmeg.

Perhaps the two had an appreciable interaction? Anyone care to poke for something there?

One time, Swim smoked a blunt with some buddies after they'd all spent the day trying to figure out why the acid they had taken in the morning was so miserably weak. This entailed a walk back to the apartment, which was not uncommon and something that swim was usually comfortable with doing. This particular time, however, swim experienced a notably severe psychological effect from the blunt.

Aside from rapidly shifting visual perspectives (ps watercolor filter, hyper-realistic, for example), swim couldn't help but perceive the actions of others as anything but a one dimensional caricature of their former selves. During one particular flit of time, it seemed as if he was isolated with his friends in a recording studio, wherein their seemingly malicious laughter was directed at swim's absolute terror and inablity to extradite himself from the situation. That night, swim learned a lesson in preparedness and experienced some of the most pure terror he has ever felt, not that it will keep him from trying the same thing again under proper circumstances
