Swim has read so many mixed experiences with this drug Swim dosnt know what to think about it. Swim hasnt taken an opioid in years and has read how if you have taken an opioid recently, this drug can make you sick quickly. So Swims not worried about that. Swim also knows that it comes in a liquid form that you squirt up your nose and has heard that gives you a great high, but mainly Swim is thinking of the tablets 5mg and 10mg pills. Orally or Insulfating Swims wanting to know anyones and everyones experiences who have taken these little pills.

Butorphanol (Torbutrol) & Cannabis

Okay, this experience happened roughly a week and a half ago, and my memory is a little shaky. I have a good amount of experience with opiates, particularly oxycontin. My tolerance, however, was at an all time low after a four-month abstinence.

I obtained a bottle of Torbutrol from a veterinarian for administration to my cat. The pills came in 1.25mg pieces (5mg whole). I browsed the web to see what I could dig up on these pills. To my surprise, I found that they are an opiate synthesized from thebaine. I further looked into it, and found that there was a form called 'Stadol' which was an aqueous solution designed for insufflation. I immediately grew anxious to give it a try.

I started by snorting 1/4 of a pill. The burn was bearly noticable, but the drip tasted putrid- about two or three times worse than oxycontin.

I waited a couple of minutes and felt nothing. I then went ahead and bumped the other three quarters.

I proceeded into my room to play Amped, a snowboarding game, on my X-Box. Within a couple of minutes I noticed a warm sensation beginning in my stomach and radiating out into my legs and arms. Soon, I found myself somehow scoring higher than I ever had before, even though I was barely paying attention to what I was doing.

After about ten minutes of X-box, I decided to lay down. That's when it hit me like a ton of bricks. The room was spinning, and I had an awesome warm, jello sensation througout my entire body. It was pretty incredible, for a veterinary medicine.

I was soon walking around socializing, growing a little antsy. I could tell the effects were winding down.

I proceeded to my room and bumped another pill. This time it hit me extremely hard. I light up a bowl and laid on my bed.

I was completely disoriented, and what started out nicely turned dreadful. I had read of the dysphoria associated with high doses, and stupidly I ignored the advise.

I soon was feeling terrible feelings of panic and fear, potentiated by the pot. I had the feeling that everything was out of control. Within thirty minutes I passed out entirely.

What was to follow was the most horrific, hellish, terrible nightmare I have ever experienced. I will never forget it, either.

I was walking through all sorts of hallways and everywhere, there were mutilated corpses hanging from the cieling. There's much more to it, but words fail me.

The bottom line- It was worth the experience. The nightmare was horrible at the time, but bah, it was just a dream. I now sit and try to analyze it and see what I can find. For, in my mind, there is no such thing as a bad trip.

I highly recommend keeping the dosage low, and resisting the temptation to redose.

SWIM says he likes Torbutrol quite a bit.
He told me that his cat was over-prescribed the medication after being neutered.

His Torbutrol came in little pink pills, with the unfortunate side effect of making the cat claw the shit out of him when they were administered.

Says he crushed 'em up real fine, and that a toothpick-sized rail would be a good starting dose. He told me that the euphoria was decent, with a pleasant nod at high doses. More of a dissasociative than an opiate, but still kinda dreamy. Much better than DXM, imho.

Yeah, thanks alot that makes Swim feel alot better!! Swim's Friend has a few of those little "pinkies" and has been real cautiouse about taken them. The pinks are 5 mg and there's bigger white ones that are 10 mg.
Swim was wandering if the effects would be better if just sallowed orally?

Like many drugs, oral administration will result in somewhat weaker effects, though with a slightly longer duration than insufflation(snorting). It will work fine, but you'll need a little more. SWIM thinks that one of those 10mg white pills would be a good dose to start with orally.

Insufflation will make the most out of a small supply, since you will generally need 2 to 3 times as much butorphanol to get the same effects.

Torbutrol burns a little, but it has a minimum of binders in the pill and no other active ingredients, so it's relatively safe.

I am surprised that this drug is giving anyone a real buzz esp. in tablet form. Using IV Stadol (butorphanol) 2mg IV q1hours is commonly used in L&D-non-narcotic..very short half-life. Turbogesic/Torbutrol are the names used by DVM's and is given IM for small dogs=very safe. I never knew it to be in tablet form..hmmm..maybe different drugs?

Swim found out there's a Injectable form that Vets. use called Butorject, but yes there's 10mg white Butorphanol Tartrate pills and 5mg pink Butorphanol Tartrate pills. Swim's read that the only bad/negative experiances from this drug comes when you use it and have already used another type of opiate or somthing like that. Has anyone else heard this? If so explain about that.

?? some synthetic non-narcotic analgesics may interact with opiates by causing seizures. mind you, I am refering to the in-hospital usage. And patients given Stadol are simply sedated unless they are crazy. I hate giving Stadol to mentally unstable patients..they get crazier!

it is most likely a partial agonist opioid like buprenorphine (suboxone,subutex) in which if you have a full agonist (oxy,hydro,morph,heroin,) still in your blood you will go through withdrawal cause it kicks the short acting opiod out of your receptors or something like that. its happened to swim with suboxone and it is HELL

Ok thank alot, Swim has never done any other type of opiate besides Opium and that was years ago.

If taken orally, say 5mg could this possibly help Swim sleep? Swim isnt really looking to halusinate, just feel good and relaxed, maybe smoke a bowl and pass out.
