Health - Nausea and cannabis

Mr. Angry tells me that when he smokes weed (about 95% of the time) he gets sick feeling and sometimes even puked.

He tells me that it happens so often that weed is becoming less and less favorable to him and other drugs (Amphetamines, Benzos, Vicoden, Ect.) are
alot more enjoyable.

So he asked me to inquire "Why does this happen and is there anyway I can stop it from happening, or at least stop from puking?"

How he knows he is going to puke is usually his chest starts to hurt (ALOT!), and he gets an intense "motion sickness" feeling.

If anyone could help him, it would be appreciated. Mr. angry is gonna smoke up his girl soon and he'd like to not puke as much as possible .

Mr. Angry doesn't eat much (Doesn't get munchies...) so not eating beforehand doesn't work.
(Tryed it...he ending up puking nothing....one of the weirdest things of his life.)

SWIM only greens out when he smokes too much too fast, does MR angry take his time in smoking, or try and get it done quick?

One of SWIMs friends used to puke every time he smoked for about 6 months but now does not.. it happened so very much that a tree was specially labeled for the purpose

Perhaps looking into motion sickness tablets might help? Nytol pills as well as making SWIY sleepy apparently also help keep SWIYs stomach down, though they dehydrate you so cotton mouth would be worse... IF SWIY dose try it do it somewhere safe in-case SWIY does conk out

Yeah thx...Mr. Angry will look into motion sickness pills. He used to have to take Dramamine to go in cars.

Very unusual and sad problem here... I don't meet too many people who get nauseated from cannabis. For most people, in fact, it's a natural anti-emetic. Sometimes my pet wallaby uses it to reduce nausea when he is experimenting with psychedelic compounds that are rough on the digestive track.

But pot does different things to different people. This may be Mr. Angry's body telling him that pot is just not for him. Angry could try taking a motion sickness pill before hand and perhaps smoking less (as in, take one hit of pot and wait... don't take another one until any nausea that is building up has evened out and faded away). If this doesn't help, and Angry still finds himself puking when he partakes, then he may have to face the fact that pot just makes him sick. If he can't do it without puking, then it's probably just not suitable to him to use for recreation.

Does he cough a lot when he smokes? Coughing your guts out coupled with that motion sickness feeling you describe might end up in puking. I would suggest SWIY to drink something while he's having his joint. Also, holding the hit for a very long time might get him dizzy, as less oxygen gets to his brain.

Sorry to hijack your tread like this Metalcore, i am sorry to hear that you have about puking problem.
SWIM kinda has a same problem but not at as bad as SWIY have. The thing is, my rhino smoked weed all his life without a problem. But recently (about half a year ago) when he smokes he gags. Gags like when u put a finger in your troth and have that gaging reflex to a point of puking. And it only happens once per smoke(weird).
It also doesn't mater if its sativa or indica . It happens with every time he smokes weed.
Another thing is,that he doesn't feel nausea and he never puked like this,just gags once and thats it ,sometimes he even gets a tears in his eyes.

Does enyone else experienced something like this?

I have found that very strong weed (or huge hits) makes swim feel like that, sometimes.

Does the weed always come from the same source? Perhaps it isn't the cannabis but some sort of additive.

could be a psychological issue, of association, has SWIM had an experience or seen someone else have a very bad/traumatic experience shortly after or while smoking?

I don't think the problem is in weed. Swim got it from different places, even countries.
Maybe its the huge hits problem but he did that kind of hits all his life and didn't have any problems till now.
Ill tell him to try thanking smaller hits spaced out longer period of time.

SWIM know's some who had problems with an upset stomach and wreching for the first few pulls on a joint.

SWIM and his friends notcied that this person was swallowing when taking pulls and inhaling. Once he stopped doing this, the problem went away.

There could be several things that could cause Nausea:

Type/Grade - Lower grades of (spice) are known to cause nausea and other adverse affects. Even better quality (spice) that gets old can have these effects. You may need to try a fresher/better grade of (spice).

Way of intake - SWIM can intake large amounts of (spice) by using the water bong method with no noticeable nausea while using lower/midgrade (spice). If swim intakes using a regular pipe or rolled cigarette, when using lower/midgrade spice nausea and a case of the spins might arise.
I would try to smoke out of a bong if possible. SWIM thinks that the water may filter out some of the stuff that causes the nausea.

Dramamine taken at correct dosage can help reduce the nausea before it starts. SWIM recommends Ginger as a natural way to prevent nausea. There are a few ginger containing beverages around such as "ginger ale" or "ginger cola". You might prefer to make ginger tea. Just buy some ginger teabags and follow the directions on the box. You can also buy "ginger root" from a local store in the vitamin section. Which is simply ginger ground and placed in capsules. I hope this helped some.

Marijuana works against feeling of Nausea but I think it also exacerbates and creates an emetic reaction, especially in conjunction with alcohol. In fact, the paradox of alcohol is the same as Marijuana - Alcohol makes some people throw up, but it also suppresses the gag reflex so they can't throw up so easily.

SWIM has the same problem from a pair of weeks now.

He gets sick with nausea and headache and one time he puked.
also his face turned white so he thought that blood pressure was lowering too much, and this was making him sick.

i'm noticing now that probably SWIM "was swallowing when taking pulls and inhaling" so maybe its just a problem of swallowing smoke or something?

SWIM doesn't know for sure but is prety certain that smoke isn't going to make your tummy hp!

It seams that smoking from a bong and taking not so big puffs is doing the trick for SWIM.

SWIM was smoking out of a homemade steam roller that hit amazingly well the other day. Keep in mind he's a concieted bastard, and thinks he can take as big of a hit as he wants. So he fills the chamber with smoke and keeps going. Sure of himself, he let go of the carb and attempted to clear the bitch. However, this steam roller had bigger balls than SWIM. He was forced to swallow in order to take it all!

Needless to say, he kept doing it. The next morning he couldn't breathe well at all. So I'm going to guess that you could really kill your lungs if that happens on a regular basis.

SWIM has the same problem, only with other drugs... At first it really scared him but he realized it could be pretty cool. Now every time he is sick on drugs, if he's in a public place, he's gonna puke in the middle of a conversation and his mates are gonna act like nothing happened, as if it were normal. It has a great effect on strangers around you and it's creepy and stylish XD
