Setting - Advice for a Solo LSD Trip

tonight will be my first time taking acid and it looks like im going to have to do it alone. i know this is bad to do and i hear not to do it from alot of people, but does anyone here know if its gona make me have a bad trip or can i still be cool

Ive dont it alone many many times. Just make sure that you are in the best frame of mind you can be. Its very easy to have a bad trip when you are by yourself. (been there) But, Its also some of the best tripping Ive done also.

I've had the best trips alone, just out in nature, exploring it... It's never scared me because I was alone, a lot of the time getting away from too many people on it can calm you down.
But the first time I wasn't alone! You can p.m. me if you get lonely or afraid, just stay in a safe place for your first trip where you won't be exposed to cops.
I'd feel better if you had a buddy who had done it before there. Try to wait if u can. If not, good luck.
Oh, and my first time I took one hit of paper acid. It was plenty.

Hi I am about to try acid for the first time and i have to trip by myself.I have heard that this is a bad idea and i am a little scared about having a bad trip.I have read alot of stories aboutpeople having bad trippes and have relised that alot of people forget they have taken drugs and that is why people get bad trippes.I was wondering ifit would be a good idea to write a note to my self wich will tell me that i have taken a drug and that every thing will be fine in a few hours. i would read itif i started to bad trip. this is my own idea i came up with and was wondering if anybody can tell me if this will work

If its your first time i strongly recomend not doing by yourself, thats a bad idea. you really should have someone with you. have you ever taken any psychedelic substances before? if not, then dont do it.

yea i wouldn't recommend being by yourself, if u are new to psychedelics, LSD can be pretty intense for a beginner. Hell it can be pretty intense for anyone.Don't really no how ur going toact till u done it a couple times some people can't handletripping to well and freak
but if your not going to listen about having a sitter then make sure you are in a good enviroment, safe nothing sharp around, and be in a good mood when ur going to take it...i always listen to some chill music when tripping it hells to relax sometimes

You don't have to trip by yourself, unless you mean you are the only one with the cid. Either way, wait until you have a close friend to chill with, at least until you feel comfortable with the drug, and start with a small dose. You can always take more, but you can't reverse time and take less.

I really wouldn't worry about forgetting you took cid. It would take quite a large amount of acid to do that.

Whatever you do, be smart, safe, RESPONSIBLE, and relax. You WILL have a great time. It will let you see the world in a way you never thought possible.

Thanks for the help. i found some one who will take it with me but it's his first time to but i guess it will be better then doing it by myslef. i also have another question. i used to do weed alot but quit after awhile because i always got paranoid after this one incident when someone put other drugs inthe weed wewere smoking. after like 6 times of doing it and getting paranoid i decided to quit. My question is do you think i will also be paranoid on lsd when i do it?

In that case it's better to leave the weed be. I think it's better to trip with someone that does it for the first time then to take acid by yourself when it is your first time. Best would be to find someone you can trust who has done it before. Anyway read up on the subject before you do it. There is a lot of usefull info & advise in this lsd forum.

You should have a more expierenced person with you. Someone you trust.

As for being paranoid, just try and get into an envoirnment where all is good. Do this by being somewhere you like and that it's quiet and where no one's around to ruin the night, ie coppers etc.

You will be nervous and anxious from the time you take it until the time it kicks in. After that you should have a fucking blast. If you start to get scared, just keep in mind that it is a pretty safe drug, it is only a drug, and it will end.

But seriously, just be in a very comfortable setting, a good mind state, with someone you trust, and relax!!! If you have done all those things, you have no reason to worry. Don't overthink or overworry.

And you better let us know how it goes!!

I have tripped alone countless times on LSD. I enjoy it. I never done anything to hurt myself. Set the Setting, get everything you need, take care of your business (don't drive), Don't answer phones....these are some things I advise.....There are other drugs that I would consider a sitter necessary..O.K. now I am writing this I realize you already have done it...well, how did it go?

Originally SWIM was planning to do LSD with my friend(s), but after realizing all they wanted to do was see trippy hallucinations, SWIM figured he's not going to be able to learn much around them. SWIM really wants to take as much as he can from his trip and figures he won't be able to with his friend(s) around. So he decided he would just do it in his room throughout the night? SWIM will only take one tab, if he wants he will be able to walk around his street, or go for a stroll, his neighbourhood is very quiet, he won't be meeting any muggers etc there. Will he be OK by himself on only one tab? He has a responsible friend who would act as a trip sitter if he asked, his friend doesn't do drugs himself, but is very opened minded and responsible. He would rather do it by himself as he feels he would learn so much more, do you guys think he will be alright?

A sitter is never a bad idea but personally swim has never wanted one around. If your friend is a level headed person and really wants to go solo then a person (who is not tripping as well) might not make them feel as comfortable as they would be when alone. It also helps if this isn't the friends first time and knows what to expect from it. Expect the unexpected though



Anyways have fun but be advised to stay off the streets.

It can be agreed that an LSD experience is a lot more fulfilling on one's lonesome. It allows the user to fully envelop themselves into their own thoughts. Terence McKenna spoke of the wonders of using psychedelics in isolation. SWIM has never used LSD on his own but has used mushrooms and salvia alone. The practice was pleasant but SWIM had plenty of experience using psychedelics before this. Perhaps involving a sitter may be of benefit if one is in doubt.

As long as one is safe and not at risk of having their trip spoiled by outside interference, I see no problem in responsibly using LSD alone.

Swiy might have highly potent tabs.......swim thinks maybe dropping a half would be safer, swiy can always drop the other half later if he wants .The sitter would be a good idea.....tripping alone should only be done after one has some tripping experience under their belt.

I definatly agree, I know a guy who's triped alone before, and he's come to realize that tripping alone can be mentally upbuilding for someone, because your focusing your trip on you, yourself. But he also thinks that it's always good to have friends around to share the experience with.

Swim personally would rather trip with other people. (Close Friends)

After tripping alone a number of times, SWIM thinks having a few good friends around is a plus. To be able to share the experiences with another person who might be able to understand what you're talking about is very comforting.

If SWIY is tripping for the first time SWIM highly suggested that SWIY get that open-minded friend to stick around and maybe talk SWIY out of doing something that SWIY wouldn't otherwise do.

my only advise is to have the sitter at home with your friend. If your friend wants to be alone then cool. have the other guy in the next room forthe night and come in there and check on your friend now and then. Just make sure your friend buys the sitter a pizza and some movies or something so he will not be bored all night. tell your friend good luck!

bad advice for a newbie tripper

subject Q has tripped alone plenty of times... he likes going up into the mountain camping in the jungle, or to a deserted beach where there's no signs of humans around for several miles... He tends to become a little uneasy and paranoiac when tripping with many people around [like at parties and such...] so he doesn't get the chance to enjoy the trip fully...
Even when taking a trip with substances like salvia [where the rule of thumb is to always have a sitter] Q prefers solitude... but then again, Q is a very special mutant, not the kind you would consider for mass production...

reassurence is a good way to recover from bad trips, having some1 with you is good but swim h8s being with ppl who dont do drugs, especially if they no nothing about the drugs youve taken cos they think uv gone crazy and they make swim real paranoid. swim dont mind being with people who dont do drugs as long as he's with at least 2 friends who are taking them with him.
i think u should stick with ur friends or get a sitter who has a good past with drugs.

SWIM tried LSD again last night and seems to be up for over 24hrs whenever he does it before he finally passes out...

Anyway SWIM tripped with two close buddies and a sitter. At one point sitter said he was going upstairs to take a nap... the three trippees in unison chanted "you're not going anywhere."
