Swim finds the taste of kratom extremely unpleasant from his limited experience. having heard that capping reduces potency, he decided to make pills by mixing powdered kratom, a lil icing sugar and a splash of water, mixing until its a limpy consistancy and then pressing in his pollen press. aprrox 15 pills is about 10g.

Sir Tokesalot finds kratom unpleasant but quite palatable. The trick is to chase every gulp with some water, and the aftertaste never builds up and becomes a problem.

He used to drink a potion that had kratom as one of its ingredients, but was on the whole infinitely more disgusting. He developed a gag reflex just from the smell of the stuff, and now pure kratom is very much reminding him of it. If not for that, he would probably enjoy drinking the stuff outright, bitter though it may be.

I regard the kratom taste as unpleasant, but not strong enough to make one barf. Kratom leaves have a dose of 5 - 15 grams depending upon the sort. So a rizla bomb for kratom leaves is out of the question. Some people cap kratom or kratom extract.

works fine. use as many skins as you want its only paper at the end of the day not gunna kill ya. just eat on an empty stomach n drink a canny bit of water mebez a cuppa or summik

Swim first tried kratom with honey, then sugar. But now swim loves the taste of kratom without any sweetener. Swim has heard this scenario repeated before. Swim even likes to put the powder directly in the tea and drink the powder. Better effects.
It's kind of strange because when swim first tasted kratom swim thought it was the most awful bitter stuff.

Lately Swim has taken to eating dried kratom leaves straight, with nothing else, no drink to wash away taste.

Swim just recently got his order of an ounce of Red Vein Kratom as well as a few other herbs and plants. He's so far only tried making tea out of it, as it seems the tea is a tried and true method and Swim has no need to waste his time with iffy preparations. And so far he's tried 3 slightly different recipes. Nevermind the doses as this is about taste. Although I guess it wouldn't hurt to include an amount to compare to the intensity of the taste. He usually uses 5-9 grams usually around 6.5-7.0 g. He takes two cups of water and boils the kratom until he is left with about a half cup. The once amber colored liquid is now shit brown and full of alkaloids since he evaporated most of the water out. Now this concoction, as one might guess has an extremely bitter and concentrated taste. And even with only a half cup of liquid left, 4-5 table spoons of sugar have next to no effect.

The kratom definately tricked him for a while the first time he made it. The whole 20 minutes he was boiling it it smelled like regular old black tea to him. He was in for a surprise to say the least.

The good thing though is that the taste isn't endured for too long a time, due to the small amount of liquid that Swim takes in just a gulp or two with a chaser.

Swim changed it up a little tonight and dug into some other herbs he got along with his order of kratom. Aside from kava, which is of no use right now, he had an ounce each of whole valerian root and passionflower leaves and stems. He placed an unknown (but not massive) amount of each in with the kratom he was brewing. His logic being that the valerian, whose smell and taste is pungent and strong as well, would help to overpower the kratom taste; the passionflower just because. (He knows its an MAOI but did not think it would hurt anything since it is a weak one at that.)

Anyways he is currently in the process of gulping this disgusting stuff down and he must say that the superbly stinky valerian has worked to no avail. The disgusting and wretched kratom taste is as strong as ever. Anyways, thought'd I'd give my take on the whole taste thing. Swim is having trouble picturing himself ever "enjoying" this taste. He has overcome some bad tastes on to enjoyment before, (kava, whiskey, lager, robotussin way back, the thought of it nauseates him now,) but kratom is unlikely to make it to that list.

I think the OP poster hit in on the head when he said he had grown to enjoy the taste of green tea.
SWIMs problem is he grew up enjoying milky tea with suger.....anything bitter is gonna grate just a bit more than usual.

Swims friend has been drinking green tea without sugar as part of a health routine for about a year and now says he thouroughly enjoys it.

Swim always been a massive tea drinker with lots of milk and sugar, and is finding it hard to get used to green tea. Swim was down right disgusted with the kratom tea pews:
