Xanax and alcohol

SWIM took a .5 mg dose of Xanax about 5 hours ago and plans on drinking tonight. Since it was SWIM's first time of taking Xanax ever, he's not sure if it's a safe thing to do. SWIM isn't overly paranoid about these types of things, but just likes to know what to expect and doesn't want to die tonight. Is SWIM going to be ok?
