These Pills made us REALLY paranoid - why ?? anyone experienced this

Swims friends are all well practiced recreational drug takers in their late 30's/early 40's, especially ecstacy.

They took some Herbal Ecstacy Pills a friend bought off the Internet, he will ask what they were tomorrow and post it up, they were red and green in colour.

They were at a party, bit boozed up, they had taken just one line of Coke and had a few puffs on some weed. After an hour of dropping the pills they all had a most horrendous paranoia attacked .... a real nightmare, Swim tried to study whats in Herbal E ... but cant find any explanations for why this would happen.

Its only their second time taking Herbal E, and they did feel pretty awfull after that, although not paranoid. Normally swim takes normal E or MDMA, and know what come down to expect, is Herbal E that different ??

Any one have any ideas so swim can avoid anything that will do that again.

well considering that herbal e has absolutely nothing to do with mdma and probably contains something like bzp then yes it is very different!!! swim never takes anything unless he's at least vaguely familiar with the substance in it. i advise reseaching the chemicals swiy take, that way u will know what to expect.

First, we don't know what was in the pills SWIY took. Second, he combined them not only with alcohol but with cocaine and marijuana - the latter two of which can cause paranoia all on their own. I'm not sure how we could be of much help with this one.

In my opinion it is stupid to take pills the contents of which are unknown, and much more so to combine it with three other drugs. But I won't belabor that point, as I assume the negative experience which SWIY had has already taught him that...? I don't expect my opinion to make me popular and universally loved - some people seem to be delighted to gulp down pills when they have no idea what is in them. But there it is, and based on sound logic. Combining drugs can be complicated - they can interact in unexpected and dangerous ways. For one example, I'll bet you didn't know that cocaine and alcohol combine in the body to form a different chemical, called cocaethylene, which is more toxic than either alcohol or cocaine.

I personally hate the fact that vendors sell drugs to people without listing the ingredients and dosages in detail. This makes it impossible for one to judge the safety of their use, this it is impossible for one to take the drug responsibly.

Please familiarize yourself with the rules here regarding self-incrimination, as well.

SWIM is wise after the event, swim hopes to find the ingredient or combination that caused this distressing behaviour from the recreational drugs purchased, from others experienced with Herbal ecstacy use.

as the drugs taken read 'herbal' it was assumed they would be quite mild ... a pale immitator of the real thing - just a sharpener on top of the other drugs taken, points noted about the BZP, swim will research what goes into that, ..... why would swim want to take a drug that makes you paranoid, or anyone sell it in the first place.
swim wonders if a test kit would have been any use ??, are they just for real ecstacy. full instructions will be read in future, of what does and doesn't go with, and what dosage.

quite right about cocaine and weed causing paranoia, but swim explained that it was like nothing felt before, in view of the extensive experience of different reactions to previuos drugs taken.

a test kit would have been able to tell you if it had certain chemicals in it, dxm for example can be tested for. but it wasnt dxm anyway. the problem with these legal highs is that the companies are very vague when it comes to ingredients, for example they could leave the it at "herbal mixture" so alot of the time you dont know what you're geting

The effects of herbal ecstacy can be pretty erratic, simply because herbal ecstacy can be almost anything. Swim has even seen guarana and caffiene tablets advertised as herbal ecstacy. Also, as mint boi said, a lot of companies aren't very up front about their ingredients. Swim has read that sometimes herbs are included as filler, or because they seem as though they would have the desired effect, but really do nothing at all (at least not what they're supposed to) It is understandable why Swiy might take the name herbal ecstacy at face value; it does sound like a safer version of ecstacy. That's not quite the situation, though, so if Swiy could find out the name of the product Swiy ingested, then it can be effectively researched and perhaps Swiy can get some closure.

umm thanks, I think SWIM is def. after some closure, today (wed) was a rough ride.

He has been waiting to find out what was taken, he will chase tomorrow.

This come down has been a monster in comparison to many previous experiences, normally there are peaks and troughs ... but this time its consistently bad all day, with an overwhelming lack of patience on some things leading to very aggressive out bursts, unusual for a normally placid man.

SWIM would like to add that he experienced strange bladder control issues one hour after taking said herbal E, with a normal E peeing 'aint always easy - this though time it was the opposite, a great degree of urgency was felt to pee, almost a sense of loss of control ...... not good when your at a party full of people. Luckily he just managed to hold it together in that dept.
