They're easy as hell to make. Just make the Jello and replace half the
water with whatever alcohol you want to use. We usually use vodka, although you can use just about anything. Also, IMHO they taste best with orange or any berry-flavored Jello. Lime is pretty gross. Jello shots are always a huge hit at parties, almost always the first thing gone. The part that sucks is that its easy to accidently take too many... |

Ya i really enjoy jello shots... mainly because u Dont have to taste the alchol if u dont want too... just swallow the jello, and yes u can get kinda messed up pretty fast due to the fact u take them so fast and they dont taste like anyhting.
Still there worth it. |

I think the recipe calls for 2 cups of water, so mix up the Jello powder with
1 cup water/1 cup alcohol. That'll usually work, if you're using a high proof alcohol though, you might need to adjust the proportions using less of the alcohol, so it'll set... |

it does taste like shit - its like an entire mcdonalds worth of salt in a compact bottle
about the jello shooters, make sure you don't boil the vodka! this is VERY important as the vodka will boil away VERY QUICKLY and you will be left with regular jello another fun thing to try is putting a hole through a watermelon from the top as far through as possible without goin thru the other side, then draining as much water out as you can and filling the watermelon with liquor. afterwards just serve as a you normally would. although i havent tried this one myself i've been told it works. |

hmmm. Also if you'd use a single shotglass, and not make a bowl? with Jell-o and GHB, and alcohol. I don't know anything about the potency of the combo..

GHB and Alcohol is a VERY DANGEROUS MIX, LIKELY RESULTING IN UNCONSCIOUSNESS. Do NOT mix them! |

reason I'm asking is that I'd like to hide the jell-o shotglass in the freeze, so none of my so-called-friends would steal it..
Thnaks for warning me THink 1/3shot glass of vodka would be enough to cause damage? |

.... some swiy needs to some research on GHB, and especially its interactions with alcohol before swiy trys. under no circumstance would swim ever recomend taking alc/ghb together, its a good way to wake up (or maybe not to wake up) somewhere you cant remember with a frozen bannana inserted into your rectum.

swim would recomend creating a cannabutter, then puttin that into the the shot, if one really wanted to do that...
THe best way though would creating green dragon, then using that in shots... Search for green dragon if swiy unfamiliar |

FUCK your jello shots!
If you don't know how to drink beer to begin with, then don't bother posting more on this topic. ...and if you don't know how to use weed or hash properly, the ALCOHOL FORUM is the wrong place rant about your exploits! |

Jello is like pudding but it is clear. It is sweet and it is usually candy fruit flavored. It can be made with alcohol and slurped down. Doing that is called doing a jello shot.
![]() Jello jiggle shots are jello shots that can be picked up with the fingers. ![]() Jello has many names: In the UK and Australia > jelly. vodka jelly. In Germany > wacklepudding. In Italy > "Cammeo" or "Ferrero" and others. In Holland/the Netherlands > drilpudding or gelatin-puding. ![]() In Mexico > payaso gelatina. In Isreal > jelly. "Osem" and "Eficol" brands are vegetarian and kosher. "Vita", "Efikol" and "Rudo" have sugar-free varieties. Rudo instant needs to be cooked like agar. Asian jelly desserts are like jello but instead of animal gelatin, they are thickened by kanten. Kanten is also called seaweed, Japanese gelatin, agar, agar-agar, red algae or carrageenan. The type sold as carrageenan is said to sometimes have a taint like the sea so it may be better to use agar or one of the others. Agar is available in most of the world's cities. SWAN can find it in health food stores, well stocked groceries, pharmacies and Asian food supply. It is cooked in order to activate it's thickening properties, unlike other gelatins which do not require cooking. ![]() Jello can also be called Jelly Powder or Quick Jelly. or it might not be a powder, it might come in solid blocks; an example is Tesco brand. It might be unflavored and unsweetened like agar. ok! Ready to play? ![]() How to make a jello shot: When making a jello shot, if one cup of liquid is used, then the jiggler will be firm and slicable. But if more liquid is used, then the shot can be made puddily; and the shot will need to be in a shot glass or plastic cup (paper cups stick). to make a puddily shot like that, then SWAN uses 3 cups of liquid. Two cups will make regular jello. 1 cup of liquid also equals one of these:
6 oz. box of "Jello" gelatin. It is flavored and sweetened. There is a 'sugar-free' variety too for diabetics or dieters. Dissolve powder in hot liquid; can add cold liquid after that and/or fruit. Chill until firm. One envelope "Knox"; it's a gelatin like "Jello" but it's unflavored and unsweetened. One envelope equals 1 tablespoon or 7 gr. Soak that powder in some cold liquid. and then add some boiling liquid to dissolve it all. Chill until firm. vegetarian jello mix like "Hains". Has flavoring and is sweetened. Follow package directions but adjust liquid volume to suit the occasion. dried powdered agar (1 - 1.5 tablespoons / 5 grams). Plain and unsweetened. Soak it 5 minutes and then simmer it 5 minutes unless the package says otherwise. ![]() 4 sheets of agar. Needs several hours of soaking and then cooking of 5 - 20 minutes. Agar strands should be soaked overnight before cooking. ![]() 3/4 teaspoon agar powder and 1/2 tablespoon corn starch. Plain and unsweetened. Pour the juice into a microwave-safe container or a small pot. Mix in the agar powder and let sit for about 5 minutes. Bring the juice to a boil in the microwave or on the stove and boil or simmer for about 1 minute. Stir in DISSOLVED cornstarch* and remaining liquid. Pour mixture into shot glasses or small cups. Refrigerate at least a few hours to let the jello set. Keep refrigerated until use. *Cornstarch, will dissolve if mixed with about 1 to 2 Tbsp. COLD water. pectin. Plain flavoring but some brands have sweetening. Used to make jellies and jams. Derived from citrus peels. Cook-free method but some need activation by sugar content above 55% and others activated by the presence of calcium (a packet of calcium may come with a packet of pectin). Since varieties vary, SWAN needs to follow and modify package directions accordingly. possible rate of use is 14 grams per 1 - 3 cups liquid. "Pomona" brand may be the only brand of pectin sold that has no sweetening, flavoring or need for cooking. ![]() Tips on how to have a winning game when making jello~~ SWAN can't use a metal pan to pour the jello into because metal can keep the jello from getting thick ("setting up"). Some fruit can also prohibit gelatin from setting up. Most fruit is okay; but some fresh or frozen fruit needs cooking first: pineapple, figs, kiwifruit, guava, ginger root and papaya. They contain an enzyme which breaks down (eats?) gelatin and causes it to lose its thickening property. Boiling the gelatin it's self can also cause it to lose it's thickening properties, this is not true for agar. if agar loses it's thick jelliness, then cooking it might let it refirm because agar is thermally reversible. If gelatin loses it's gel, it's usually because it is getting warm; putting it in the refridgerator for a while can work to gel it back up. If SWAN's chosen additive (like LSD) is effected by cooking, then SWAN makes sure to add it after the cooking period. and mixing it in well is good if SWAN wants uniform doses. ![]() Two hours of chilling should be enough but it's not. SWAN has decided to spend all eternity chilling. But when using a standard jello mold (one that is not an individual serving) then it does take about two hours of chilling for the jello to set up and be ready for unmolding. SWAN can jiggle the mold around to check it. To easily unmold gelatin, SWAN can dip the outside of the mould into warm water, not hot water; or the jello will melt too quickly. SWAN wants to warm the mold just slightly so that the jello will slide out easy. It takes about 5 - 10 seconds for the warmth to melt the jello enough. Holding a warm rag on there is an alternate method because sometimes SWAN has trouble dunking the mold far enough and yet still not get water into it. After warming, then SWAN places a plate on the top; and then SWAN holds the plate tight on top as it all gets turned upside down. The plate will now have the inverted jello mold on it; and then SWAN lifts the mold off of the jello. And then SWAN might put the jello in the refridgerator for 20 minutes to refirm. Or a non-stick cooking spray can be used on the mold before pouring the gelatin in there to begin with; but it can make the surface of the jello a little cloudy after unmolding. To easily center a mold on a plate, then SWAN rinses the plate with cold water before unmolding the gelatin onto it; that way it will slide around and be adjustable. ![]() Fractal jello needs to have each fraction individually chilled and firmed before adding the next layer. ![]() If SWAN is doubling a jello recipe originally calling for 2 cups of liquid then SWAN uses a little less than 2 + 2. SWAN uses like maybe 3.75 cups of liquid in the doubled recipe. All types of liquids or combinations of liquids can be used to prepare jello: 35% alcohol, water, wine, fruit juices, vegetable juices, clarified vegetable or meat stock and seafood broths. and all types of sweeteners can be added: white sugar, honey, corn syrup, palm sugar, artificial sweeteners, etc. All types of flavorings can be used too: concentrated flavored syrups used to make sodas, shaved ice cones or alcoholic drinks; flavored extracts used for cooking like vanilla extract, orange, maple, lemon; frozen concentrated fruit juices; koolaid, powdered drink mixes, etc. SWAN should not cook the sugar too long, if at all; or else it will turn into hard candy. Adding sugar to warm liquid is okay; it will dissolve fine without cooking. Cooking the alcohol should not be done for long periods either; it might change it's properties. palm sugar and agar ![]() The liquid used may give a flavor to the jello, but sometimes not. Like if SWAN uses just one cup of 35% alcohol to a whole box of jello; then all that SWAN can taste is the jello. About five minutes later is when SWAN will detect the alcohol. The jiggler shots will dissolve all at once in SWAN's stomach and SWAN will feel like he was lit up like a volcano inside. It's pretty fun. It is over in less than a minute; but the effects of drunkeness last longer of course. To achieve the volcano effect, then SWAN eats a little less than half of this recipe: ![]() When doing full strength shots like that, it is easy to consume a lot of alcohol in a very short period of time. A brick about this size can easily be equal to 10 shots or more of hard alcohol: ![]() This guy tried to sell his patent for Jello. but his girl wouldn't let him. the asking price? $39 USD. ![]() That pic is old, but it isn't that old considering that people have been using gelatin and kanten to thicken their food ever since the first bone was tossed in the stew pot; or the seaweed in the soup, whichever the case may be. Jello is really old, like domestic fire and getting flamed and sometimes it can be just as dangerous. Like if SWAN were to get talked into doing a flaming shot. Flaming shots are fun to watch but jello is thick and it burns a bit different. We wonder if it will extinguish as easily as other shots do when they are swallowed. Watching someone miss their mouth with a regular burning shot is a little surprising the first time it happens and what is more surprising is that apparently it can happen a statistically significant amount of the time. So maybe tell SWIM to flame only with regular shots because at least those wounds can heal and won't matter as long as SWIM wears a beard for the rest of his life and as long as his polyester suit does not catch on fire. ![]() pretty isn't it? thai non-stick jelly treatsCustom packaging can be made from any food grade plastic and a hot iron or such. I bet SWAN would have oceans of fun sacking up a pocketful of trick treats like that. |

Re: How to make jello shots.
It is nice to cut half of a melon and carve out the inside and put the jello in as a replacement, it adds a nice tropical theme to the shots.
