SWIM is sure that other marijuana users are sometimes upset with the drug economy, as he is. It is often frustrating to find out that the amount of bud it takes to get SWIM high over a week's course may sometimes go over $40 in his specific area.
SWIM thus decided to take it upon himself to make a variant of the widely-known waterfall bong using directions he found on the world wide web. SWIM is aware of other threads discussing the Sobe but would like to share his personal experiences. Directions are as follows:
1. Obtain a Sobe brand drink from a local convenience or grocery store and drink/get it empty.
2. Find the indentation at the bottom of the bottle, it should be easy to see.
3. Using the tip of a phillips screwdriver--a key will work, just not as well--jab the indentation of glass at its corner until the screwdriver breaks through, creating a very small hole. No large cracks should be made if done with correct force. To make sure of this, simply start with light jabs and gradually increase the force.
4. SWIY has two options for a bowl: Either create a hole in the cap with a knife in order to insert a slide through, or poke holes in the cap with a thumbtack. The former gives much better results.
Sobes seem to be SWIM's current favorite way to conserve for a few reasons. They take less setting-up than gravity bongs, require a budget of $2 USD, and one hit sends SWIM flying. In order to completely milk the bottle, one needs not even a couple tenths of a gram when using medium quality bud. Last night SWIM and SWIM's friend took three Sobes each and SWIM was so high he did not want to smoke again for a very long time, while SWIM's friend seemed to be amused at how messed up SWIM was
If one is looking for quite possibly the easiest and most enjoyable way to conserve without feeling constrained, SWIM highly recommends the Sobe. If SWIY feels the need to smoke in addition to a few Sobe rips, SWIM doesn't know what to say.
This is a repeat of several other threads (as you seem to be aware) and it's also in the wrong section. Link to a couple threads on this subject on the first page of the paraphenlia section:
