Question regarding potency of crushed oxycontin

From what swim understands, oxycontin 20mg is time released. Does this mean that if SWIM took one 20mg pill orally that it would maintain a constant 20mg of oxycodone in SWIMs system for the day or does it mean that a smaller amount of oxycodone would be maintained in his system throughout the day that totals 20mg. I guess what SWIM is trying to ask is if there is more than 20mg in a 20mg oxycontin pill. I hope that makes sense.

SWIM was wondering because SWIM was considering insufflated a 20mg pill and wasn't sure if he would be getting 20mg or some huge amount. SWIM has taken 20mg of oxycodone/with APAP before and that was fine for SWIM. He just doesn't want to sniff an oxycontin and get like 100mg at once.

SWIY is correct in the second assumption.

The milligram of a pill is just that, exactly how much is in the pill.

If SWIM was SWIY, SWIM would do just what you said and insufflate the whole pill. No need to worry about acetaminophen with OCs

The kid around the corner finds that the 20 mg OCs are "choice". But if SWIY has never inhaled 20 mg before, take it from TKATC and spilt it up into two lines and see what 1/2 does.
