De Dampkring is one of SWIM's favourite places in Amsterdam. The smokers menu offers a huge selection of high quality weed and hash. For SWIM, the best weed strains are Oceans Twelve Haze and Super Silver Haze. The place can get packed with tourists in the afternoon so SWIM tries to hit it in the morning and chill out while its still quiet. Decor is impressive and gives a nice ambience. Definitely a must to check out when in the 'dam.

SWIM loves this place. While it has always been real busy anytime he's been there he always checks out this place anytime he's in the dam. The menu always has a nice few hazes, Amnesia is one SWIM recommends. SWIM has also used the volcano vaporiser here. The inside and outside of the coffeeshop are quite nice and if SWIY is ever in the dam SWIM would say this is a must to visit

This is one of SWIM's favourites. This is one of the best (if not THE best) shop in The old city. You may want to check out De Tweede Kammer also in De Spui area of the city.
The hash menu is fantastic! The rifman polm is beautiful, spicy and creamy and leaves a fresh aroma throughout the whole shop! There is a lovely ambience to this shop with red(ish) low level lighting that just seems to draw you in from the outside. There is always service with a smile and the 'dealer' is always willing to offer friendly advice on suitable products. |

this place is the shizzle!! rifmans is all SWIY need to say!! simply the best hash available and out of all the coffeeshops SWIM has been to and thats basically all of them! this was the most friendly, chilled out place to smoke in the morning, and as everyone knows the budmaids are hot as SWIY like!! must be something in that dutch water or somethin'

SWIM has just come back from the dam, riffman quality goods as usual, great prices
amnesia skunk in the bargain section, and gorgeous, mexican haze was lovely, not that impressed with G13 amnesia compared to the haze, both being the top ticket items on sale. noor and dailia hash were both gorgeous, both by riffman. dampring chain provide competatively priced and quality goods again and again. bit dissapointed noone had SAGE again!  |

Overall excellent coffeeshop. The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is huge. There are some television screens downstairs which loop strange videos over and over. My tree and his counterparts theorised that they are designed to invoke a sense of conscience in those viewing them.
They went around 12pm on a Thursday and it wasn't busy, which I suppose is a rare case. Highly recommended. |

SWIM loved this place. When she was there they were they only place serving weed and booze. Did they change the laws?

Not a bad idea. Drunks would ruin the Atmosphere. Funny because thats the translation of the name if I remember correctly.

Overall, the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam [that cowboy has visited so far]. Prices can be high for some, but the weed is top notch so well worth every cent. Cowboy is accustomed to paying much more back home (in USA) anyway, so nothing to complain about. The menu is one of the most extensive you can find. This is one of the few coffeeshops that Cowboy would recommend both for buying weed and for smoking it there. The vibe is totally excellent. The music is played at the just the right volume, loud enough to hear it but not so loud that you have to shout for your mates to hear you. Impeccably clean place, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, de Dampkring really has everything that one could ask for.

Yes, the price can be as high as XX EUR now, but only for the best weed, and Cowboy thinks it's well worth it anyway, especially since he pays $XX-XX back home (in California) for a gram of the best buds there.
