Isopropyl alcohol as polar solvent? LSA extraction
SWIM would use morning glory btw. SWIM would first soak and decant in a non polar solvent like naphtha. SWIM however then would soak the clean seeds in a polar solvent like alcohol.
Last time, swim used 151 proof alchohol and vomited within minutes of ingestion. That experience, plus the fact that SWIM doesn't drink much anyways got him thinking. Would 99% isopropyl work as a polar solvent instead? SWIM could just evaporate it (and quickly he might add) and then scrape the extract and then mix it in some juice or something. That would definitely mask the taste, SWIM wouldn't expect the raw extract to taste like anything bitter or nasty. Or anything that would cause SWIM to vomit quickly. (sorry if this is answered somewhere, swim's a bad searcher) Sal-A |
