Weird panic attack...

Hi, SWIM got very worried about this experience and was hoping to get some general advice about it.

SWIM went out saturday night and ate about 290 mg mdma (190 then 90 later on). Had a wonderful time, although with some mild hallucinations (he made perfect sense but kept forgetting which room he was dancing in lol).

Next day wasn't so bad, his legs got some hot/cold flushes and he felt very drained but managed to hang out with friends, get quite drunk and still dance about.

However, the next evening (monday night) he went to the cinema, and at the start of the film he began to feel kinda horrible, worse than before. Then his heartbeat shot up like crazy, he became very hot and honestly thought for a second he might need medical attention... anyways sat in the loos to recover and eventually towards the end of the film got to his senses (went home feeling very sad though)...

Hopefully this isn't too ominous an experience of mdma.... he has not been doin this that much (not more tha 10ish times). and a few months back took 0.5g of this same mdma over a night (stupid, but definitely an isolated experience) without any similar panic attacks.

Thanks for your 2 cents!!

Re: Weird panic attack...

SWIM takes too much. Takes other drugs shortly thereafter. So forth.

I'd suggest SWIM stop ALL drugs for awhile. See if this doesn't end the anxiety attacks. If so - It's the drugs. If not, see a good psychotherapist and/or neurologist.

?? wha??

90 + 190 = 280 not 180!

I think the above is usually a sign of doing too much too frequently. As nag says calm it down and chill for a while.

Re: Weird panic attack...

i used to have a wide assortment of mental issues, one day i just decided to confront my issues and say fuck it,im tired of being crazy.i stoped takeing meds and took a good long look at my life, cried alot and got over the issues that were causeing my problems.some tiems you just need to confront your demons head on and chalenge them to a head butting contest....

Re: Weird panic attack...

I disagree. "Demons" are there for reasons. Beating 'em up and chasing off to the backwoods of your subconscience just prolongs the next (unpleasent) meet-up.

Having a sit-down face-to-face with a demon, without fear or anger, and asking the demon what it's purpose is can yeild some surprising results. One tends to find the demon is an aspect of your personna that is there to assist you in various tasks. Once you find out what those are - the demon loses it's charge over you. But remains a pet that can be called forth at will should it's services be of need.

Re: Weird panic attack...

SWIM used to get the same thing when she started taking ecstasy, it was very scary, her heart would go so fast and she would have an overwhelming feeling that she was about to die. It could be a panic attack but it could be SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachy-Cardia) which can be caused by almost any stimulant.
