From Fentanyl to Oxycontin/norm

Swim has Chronic Pancreatitis and wears a Fentanyl patch. He has recently had another operation and suffers with pain on a daily basis. Swim likes the patches but because of his condition sweats a hell of a lot so the patch does not stick well to his skin, also when swim has a temp of 39-40 the patch works too quickly due to heat transfer and does not last the 48 hrs it's supposed to.
Swim complained to his G.P and now has been given Oxycontin 30mg twice a day along with Oxynorm 10mg evry 4 hours (when needed).
Swim has a high opiate tolerancy and could chew half a 75mcg patch quite easily and get a nice buzz (a bit too intense and speedy at times though.) But swim is wondering whether the new meds will give the same nice floaty feeling that the fentanyl used to give?
Swim is expecting some nasty withdrawls from the Fentanyl, but will put a small amount of the patch under his tongue to reduce the effects.
