a story and question about hydrocodone and heroin tolerance

Here's some background info: my pet monkey happened to get ahold of some hydrocodone 10/500 in the last week, so in the past 7 days he consumed 100 mgs of hydrocodone, in about 3 or 4 sessions. He had never had so much hydrocodone before, and as he used the higher doses, my monkey realized how much he liked it. Long story short, my monkey ended up scoring a bag of what is supposedly heroin on the street today from a shady man. It was a really small paper packet, with about a matchhead size of slightly crumbly brown shaded powder in it. He snorted said powder, and didn't really feel anything. Did he just get ripped off, or did his tolerance build up so much in the last week from the hydrocodone that it diminished the effects of the H? Something that leads him to believe he was ripped off is that he took a couple vicodin an hour ago after being dissapointed by the H, and he tells me he is feeling it pretty nicely now. Any comments? Or any comments in general on how fast hydrocodone tolerance would build up? thanks.
