Prescription Drug Help

swim was going through some of the prescription drugs that his family has used in the past, and was wondering if there was anything "special" about them. Do any of them have a chance of getting one 'high', or is there any ingredients that could do the same??

pseudovent
alprazolam
amox tr-k clv
hydroxyline
Guaifenex
Prednisone
minocycline

anybody know anything about any of these prescription ingredients?

Out of all of those meds alprazolam is the only one that could be considered in any way recreational. UTFSE for more information.

alprazolam is a benzo they can be fun.
amox is probly amoxicilan a antibiotic
pseudovent is a fake airvent painted onto a wall
guaifenex is a good for loossening up flem in your throat/nose
prednisone is a corticosteroid drug
minocycline is good for acne or other skin problems.
now just so you know this is all off the top of my head so id double check my info,also before you use any of these things your going to research them better i hope.have fun and stay safe!

yeah, swim saw on the bottle that alprazolam is a substitute for Xanax. And when swim looked it up wikipedia came up with a xanax report... so swim is guessing that its somehow related....?

and as for pseudovent, it said it had pseudoephedrine and that guastifine (*sp?*) stuff in it. So unless there was a way to extract the p-eph, swim doubts that it could be used either.

And when swim searched for the Amox, it gave the Amoxicillin stuff, which swim is not exactly sure what that does besides relieve pain.

So i guess swim needs to do some more searchin

the only funthing there is the alprazolam,teh rest is junk for getting high.but im sure it could be used properly for its intended purposes.you never know when your going to catch a cold!

Xanax is a brand name for alprazolam.

And when swim searched for the Amox, it gave the Amoxicillin stuff, which swim is not exactly sure what that does besides relieve pain.

It's an antibiotic, not a painkiller. The only way it could relieve pain is if the pain was caused by infection.

I am pretty sure that anti-biotics are one of the drugs that are considered unsafe to take beyond the date of expiration for reasons beyond loss of potency. I believe this is due to the breakdown producing toxic byproducts, but I'm not sure. It could just be due to the general consensus that taking sub-therapeutic amounts of anti-biotics is contributing to the proliferation of drug-resistant mutations of disease.

Minocycline sure looks to me like the name of an antibiotic (aka anti-bacterial), too. I would not fool around with.

Due to biochemistry, methinks, not everybody sees eye to eye on this. But whenever I've seen a puppet show with hydroxyzine as a supporting player, I have been really blown away by the performance of the opioid main star in the show. ISE's it is the best supporting player out there. Some are bigger fans of promethazine, but prometh is much more sedative than hydrox and I believe this in itself might be deceiving. Furthermore, hydroxyzine actually is probably the best hardcore anti-histamine for treating the after-math of severe allergic reactions, along with steroids. (Lol SWIyourfamily probably had some pretty nasty hives at one point.)

ETA: Please throw out the anti-biotics and steroids, at the very least. These drugs are just plain not safe to be self-prescribing.

Pharming here...Hydroxyzine is the pharm name for Atarax. I took some Atarax once to see if there was any recreational value at all. And i found out i am like deathly allegic to Atarax. It basically is used to stop itching i believe. lol. good luck. I wouldn't get excited about the Hydro or Oxy portion of the name.
