Yeah, SWIM uses bills a lot, and the smell of money is directly tied in his memory to the rush of coca. Can't open his wallet without fiending.

It might be more than just the smell of money you're smelling! There was a true survey done in London where they tested all notes of denomination like ten pounds or more. Now, believe it or not, every single note, every one, had at least some tiny trace of coke on it. Every one. But there was something about fingerprint patterns with the coke traces or something, and they concluded that the stuff was coming mostly from dealers just handling a lot of notes, not actually from snorting through the notes. There was some reason behind that argument. but I can't remember what it was. Anyway, it's a true story.
Also, funny thing, there was this guy who got on my bus once, and it was so obvious that I couldn't help giving him the smart arse treatment and kept annoyingly smirking at him, he just stared straight ahead but then these two lame "homeboys" were sitting up the back and they said 'Dude, do you smell like a shitload of weed, man?' And then this guy in his forties said 'Yeah, I can definitely smell it too', so nobody was imagining it. That guy was packing, but despite all my smirks and the comments, he remained impassive throughout, and just stared straight ahead. And that was a nice smell too. Actually, just the smell of mojay could calm swim down, it had the actual reverse effect of smelling hard stuff, which always made him crave, but nice old weed actually, the smell of it in an old cookie jar, that was enough, it was just such a nice smell that one hint of the empty jar could put weed out of his head for the rest of the night!

Everybody knows the smells, wacky smells. We don't have crack in Australia, but swim once got a tiny tiny tiny little amount of very good stuff and made it into simple baking soda rock, and that smell yes it is reminiscent of 'gas station' stink, but also powder coke has a funny smell, SWIM wouldn't cal it sour exactly, just unmistakable, almost like a sick chemical version of peppermint chewing gum. Also, I think, since many backyard labs and stuff don't always use high grade reagents, there is a good chance that ethanol is not used so much and that a lot of petroleum related products are used in its place, so probably what is smelled is not the solvent itself, which is volatile, but the gummy or oily residue left over from low quality solvents.
But who doesn't get cravings from smells, seriously? SWIM does not even have to have the stuff near him to imagine the weird smell, the smell of clumpy soft white that clings in a messy fashion to the creases in the plastic bag, almost like tiny little pieces of pure white grated soap or wax.
Also, hammer has a definite smell. Quite sharp, acrid, and, hmm...just funny. Sometimes it really does smell like vinegar, but not in a strong way, not the sour smell like vinegar, but sharpish. You can smell good stuff from the inside too, when SWIM used to mainline either one, you could feel and smell it from behind the nose, and SWIM was not alone in this sensation. Very odd.
But SWIm now struggles, struggles with all his energy to stay away from that stuff, he's had some difficult moments lately but it has been seven months since last hitting the hard shit, and he hopes he can hold out indefinitely. But as you can see, his memories are still strong.

SWIMs wallet smells of coke, from the continual use of notes to snort, the odd grain of coke falls into the wallet. Also the more one craves coke the more the triggers get stronger

its weird because when swim stops using for awhile and then smells or tastes it again, its completely disgusting. it makes swims stomach turn. but once swim uses a little more often, swim prays for a big drip and likes the way it feels going up the nostril. the smell is horribly enticing and nummies are the best. yes, swim knows this is a really bad sign. don't lecture swim please lol

Hey, just a quick question...has anyone else had the experience of a hit, which you can then "smell" from your bloodstream behind your nose?
SWIM knows of very powerful experiences of this with both coke and heroin. You might assume heroin might cause the strongest smell because of the vinegar type smell it has, but coke also can cause a very powerful sensation of "smelling" the come on, as distinct from feeling the rush.
I swear blind this is true. SWIM also knows the bizarre feeling of coke trickling up your neck through the artery, and you can seriously feel it, like cold water coming up, and it is so noticeable you can time to the second the onset of the head rush. I swear this is true.
On the other hand, a shot of heroin itself causes no feeling from the actual shot [unless you know the hellish itching all over some stuff causes, hellish, burning itching everywhere but especially in the hands, and then it just disappears after about five seconds] because heroin has no local effects like coke, but once you get it into your head you can smell it inside you. Anyone who can imagine feeling that smell in the back of their nose IMO is experiencing half of the rush of heroin.

Actually, I would just say, the less smell it has, the better it is likely to be [unless it's total crap, in which case the lack of smell is unsurprising]
Anyway, you know those petrol tank ventilation pipes over the back of "gas stations" as you call them in America, string it up like Mussolini over one of those babies and you would get that horrible petroleum stench everybody seems to love so much according to this thread, but in my opinion it would be better to confine it to the underside of a school desk until it acquires a stale, peppermint chewing gum aroma [I think that is the real smell of the real thing]

Possibly that peppermint association actually comes from the numbness of contact with the nasal mucosa, not the actual "smell" from a distance. Anyway, I maintain it's the hammer that smells sour, yes I know that's what the official sources all say but I still think it's true.

SWIM was told the other day about a person saying after a night of skiing there is this really wierd sorta fish like smell left in Swims nose. Swim can only smell it when he goes to drink a glass of water. If swim sniffs the water this overpower smell is there but without the water there is nothing to smell? Any ideas on if its the snow or cut that could be doing this? The snow in question seemed very good. No burn, No drippy drain, 1 reg line lasted 30-45 min before really wanting another one and could fall asleep 30 min after last line.

sorry if this is a stupid question, i dont know much about coke. i was talking to my friend and this girl came in to buy a bag off of him and he gave her a line to try it out first. she snorted it and then looked satisfied and bought the rest, before she left she said "seems like good shit, cant even tell if theres any ether in there at all" then she left. i was just wondering if ether is something that its commonly cut with or not, cuz i always though ether was a drug in its own and would only add to the fun, but i guess i dont really know much about it so any insight would be much appreciated. thanks!


also my friend took a couple lines on sunday night (no more than a half g) and he has a drug test on thursday morning. he rarely ever does coke and hadnt done it for over a month before the superbowl so should he be worried at all?

ether is a volatile substance. if you think your coke was "cut" with
ether, let it sit out for a few days, keep some rice next to it to make
sure that it doesn't absorb the moisture in the air. cocaine is
hydroscopic -absorbs moisture. after a few days out, all the ether will
have evaporated and you will be fine. some people use ether, acetone,
and chloroform to purify their cocaine at SWIM's college as it is at
our disposal in the chemistry labs. looking at different cut's
solubilities,etc, we can get a purer sample.

cool, would coke cut with ether have any difference in effect other than just being weaker since its not as pure? like doesthe ether do anything to you to fuck you up (in a good or bad way)?

if it was "cut" with ether... i'm assuming the person that cut it
dissolved the cocaine in the ether, filtered it (some cuts left in the
filter that are insoluble) and then let the ether evaporate for a few
days.

I also dont think one would really use ether to make more coke or to make it more effective. Probably it was used for cleaning, but then it should evaporat fast like shit, its one of the most volatile substances I ever saw.

First of ether is a solvent that coke HCl is insoluble in 2nd it dissolves a lot of impurities....so think a little bit but not too hard.....


3rd to repeat what xxxhris44 said it is a LIQUID that quickly evaps. unless you can drop the temp to where ether crystalizes and keep it there while you ingest the product it makes no sense. actually what i just wrote makes no sense even trying such a thing is completely moronic. SO the answer is no IT CAN NOT BE CUT WITH ETHER. If it smells like ether than ether was used somewhere in the processing of the cocaine being handled. If it does have ether by absorption snorting it is very painfull. SWIM knows from experience because the process for washing coke in mexico involves ether for crystalization at the end and then is left to dry out before ingestion. (Dry out meaning letting the ether evaporate off the cocaine) If the product is not fully dried upon snuffing it hurts like bitch slap. COOL?

Swim's pretty sure that cocaine is extracted using an alcohol like ether, so that could be a possibility. I guess the less ether taste, the better the purification? and it's too late, but coke only lasts 1-3 days kid. No need to worry.

When swim cooks up some rock, it sometimes has bad taste. Swim uses bakingsoda method and has been for quite sometime.Nothing different is done ,it just happens ever so often.(not alot) Does this happen to others and is there a way to get the taste out. Any info would be great.
