well lets face it no one unless someone knows a smuggler will be buying pure shit... the chem smell and taste is what makes the pure coke stick to the cut so that you dont blow a line and feel like a celebrity and then blow another and just clog your nose. so chem that it smells like is the bonding chemical they used most cleaners work.

if they do it right and give it time, very little residual smell should remain. For example, acetone, if its given enough time to dry up, shouldn't leave much residual. as it evaporates pretty quickly. SWIM works with the stuff and has seen a small bucket with a 1/2 inch of acetone in it evaporate in a few hours, so a couple of squirts of acetone shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to 30 minutes to dry up. I cant imagine why anyone would use anything else. Shits really not that expensive and you only use a tiny bit at a time even for ounces of blow. On the down side, it makes it rock up hard. its not too hard to crush, but its not as easy as we'd all prefer. Its not like acetone is anything special either, any hardware store will have some, its a commonly used solvent used to clean unfinished metals to be coated with latex paints among other uses.

SWIM finds most street cola taste like either kerosene or lightly of acetone, with a bitter/sour/biting undertaste and of course varying levels of numb. The pure sh*t / lab grade would be odorless and tasteless probably.

SWIM was on his way home from work today and sleeping in the passenger seat when all of the sudden the smell of some good raw hit his nostils. SWIM at first thought it was a misfire in the brain, but when he woke up startled and excited, the driver said "dude that smell!"

This wasnt the smell of acetone, or gasoline, this was the very distinct smell of high quality coke. SWIM was breathtaken.

The question to you all is, What else smells like coke?

SWIM and Co. were going about 80 on the highway and the smell filled the car, like SWIM never even smelled it in a room where it had been out for a while

SWIM has caught the odor of cocaine in the air many times. SWIM always thought it was his brain!

Some times that happens to SWIM too smelling gas, or a certain paint or nail polish remover or something too, but this was unreal. It came and went in two or three breathes, and there was dual confirmation so i highly doubt it was a "flashback". It was unmistakably the smell of some real raw. If there was dust in the air SWIM would swear the car in front of him had just dropped a key out the window, but the nearest car was a considerable distance ahead.

Seriously though, it made SWIMs nose hungry earlier in the week than usual.

No SWIM was on his way back from work where he never does drugs. SWIM only uses friday and saturday nights unless something special is going on.

SWIM swears to god the same thing happens to him. He might be sitting in a subway car and then he smells coke so he looks around the people to see who might be packing kilos.

But yeah, SWIM thinks its just a mental thing. It's part of the craving, in his humble opinion.

When SWIM was on acid last night him and his buddies saw the same things. i think its just the fact that they were exposed to the same environment, which is perhaps what happened in the car. maybe there was a song playing, maybe it was something u guys said a while ago who knows but some sort of environmental trigger that both of you shared.

SWIM tells me it's very hard to describe, but a bit like the glue on envelopes after it's been licked or gotten wet... if that makes any sense. It's not a strong smell, sort of bland but easy to recognize once familiar.

ok well, hmmm... there is swim doing something in the bathroom at work and it smells like walking down the vitamin aisle at a pharmacy, or burnt plastic or something chemical. do you have any idea what it is? she is in the bathroom for 20-30 minutes at a time every 2 hours or so. or she will be in 1 bathroom and then go directly into a different bathroom in a different place in our work. im not sure if she is smoking something or not- there doesnt appear to be any smoke around, but she is also in there long enough for it to go away. when she comes back she smells like the smell i described and occasionally the bathroom will smell like that- she sprays some freshener on top of it though also. she has scars on each of her right hand fingers by the knuckles except her pinky. she is super skinny and never eats. she recently got fired from her previous job for "going to the bathroom too often and for too long"
Any ideas?

Does she do her job well? Is her work up to scratch? Does she ever neglect any of her duties due to her prolonged trips to the bathroom(s)?

If her bathroom time is not affecting the quality or standard of her work then does it really matter what she is doing in there?

If her work is NOT up to standard then it would be fair to question her about her toilet time, and it really doesn't matter what the drug type is, if she is smoking drugs in the work restrooms, and the quality of her work is not up to scratch then she probably knows that it is only a matter of time before she is pulled up on it.

One last question though, are you her boss or just a nosy work mate?

SWIM totally agrees with you, but so many employers see it the exact opposite. Of course you would think if you are performing your job to a high standard then there should be no problem, but the boss will always think 'what if they're high and the DO actually fuck something up?' They always think of the worst case scenario, unfortunatly.
