Mass Psychedelic Distribution

SWIM is not advocating any illegal activity whatsoever, but he's curious if there's ever been any attempts from counterculture groups to mass distribute psychedelics, specifically LSD, in a bid to literally ignite a social revolution. While SWIM understands how unethical it is to dose an unknowing subject, something akin to assault with a deadly weapon, the results of such an operation would be fascinating.

SWIM remembers an anecdote involving Grace Slick (?) of Jefferson Airplane being a step away from dosing Richard Nixon with 400ug of LSD at an alumni reunion.

Imagine the results of thousands upon thousands of people having a contemporary psychedelic awakening in synchronocity. Something like this does seem relatively easy to accomplish, although I wouldn't want to try.
