I just woke up from an awful nightmare, not a nightmare in the scary sense but a dream reminding me of everything wrong in my life now and bringing it to light.Everything I spend my day trying to escape just comes for me when I finally escape all the hurtful thoughts during the day,I simply can not win.Do things that upset you seem to hurt worse in dreams because they seem all the more real?To dream of how fucked up life is and then wake up to that life again is the worst torture I know of.It would be different if it was my subconscious trying to help me solve a problem but this problem has no solution and its almost as if it is just doing it to torment me.To show me that I'm ruined and I can never have what makes me most happy. To think at times dreams are the only thing of beauty I have left.Even nightmares of eyeless, ghosts coming out of my mirror to cut me into pieces are better than this kind of dream.
Maybe its all just part of my punishment for being a bad person?Try to run and hide,no escape.I deserve all this I know. |

Re: Has a bad dream ever ruined your day?
I can't say it's ever been that bad for me. If something that's been deeply troubling me during the day happens to factor into my dream, though, I wake up with it fresh in my mind and it's a pretty horrible way to start the day, especially if I'm in a hurry. Then again, if it's weighign that heavily on my mind, then it's bound to come back to me sooner or later. Maybe it's because I have pretty poor dream recollection, and also my dreams make absolutely no sense.
Case in point, I woke up this morning, fell asleep again and dreamed about... mescaline sharks? Yeah, I don't know either. |

Re: Has a bad dream ever ruined your day?
What are mescaline sharks?Sharks on mescaline?Sharks made of mescaline?Sharks that distribute mescaline?I used to have such beautiful and ethereal dreams, now they are just as ugly as the waking world.Sometimes things get taken away and life on either plain of existence and possibly even the afterlife becomes an ugly and harsh place where one is constantly in need of what they can't have.
Go to sleep and be tormented, wake up and the whole day starts again just as wretched as the last.Maybe this is what happens when you get old and you finally face up to all the mistakes you made when you were young?I can't accept things,I can't cope.I won't go through the bardo when it's all over I'll stay on earth as a spirit always wanting.Thats what happens when you either hate life too much or love it too much.My dreams are just a preview of what will come years from now. |

man tuff shit. sorry.
Ive had woken up before from a dream that was so convincing that i thought it was real even half way into my shower. i started to hyperventilate for the first time it was to scary. finally i realized it wasnt real. Also i find myself dreaming about my mom dying and what will happen and what i will do if she did. This can tear me apart and ruin a portion of my day if i think about it to much.
