i know lotsa fellas that start heroin and are ok for several years, but i am almost convinced sometime they will end up like the junkies we all see in the streets .... what do you think ?

that's kind of an impossible question to answer.


some people can use heroin and be perfectly fine (and by that i mean they arn't junkies). but it's possible to become one at any time. it just depends on the person. if you care about them and you think are heading down the wrong path try to help them out.


you can't really say where they will end up though.

I think it depends upon a number of factors:

1.) The correct quality and proportion of the shit they
are exposed to.

2,) Their own psych.predisposition to using; esp.
their sense of obligation in terms of personal
responsability.

3.) Their genetic/chemical predisposition (or lack
thereof) to the drug.

Everyone's different and I just don't think there's a
single answer to this. There are multiple factors that
need to be considered on a case-by-case basis.

I think people who associate the word "Junkie" with Heroin users are ignorant assholes. My dad was a heroin addict of 30+ years but you would have never known it. He worked at the same comany the entire time, and maintained a healthy lifestyle other than the heroin.
