Allergy Cures

Lump has had great success in fighting allergies using Ephedra Sinica and mormon tea.

Are there any other botanicals that fight allergies?

'Cure' is a rather strong word to use, especially in relation to allergies.

Once labmonkey was having the worse allergies of his life, totally miserable monkey, while out camping. He ate some yummy mushrooms and it totally went away. Not sure if there's some chemical componant of psilocybes, if the body abandoned the allergies in a fight or flight reaction, or if this just means allergies are primarily psychosomatic (there have been reports of allergies changing under hypnosis, in switches in people with multiple personality disorder, and other psychological anomolies).

^^^^ There is a thread on using psychedelics while sick that had similar experiences mentioned, though they were more on psychedelics getting rid of sickness rather than allergies.

Hmmmm..... May have to take a look at the possibilities there. Zyrtec-D is starting to get old.

Yeah, daily cetizirine hydrochloride helps but is no cure. There are new treatments out there but I haven't had time to look into them. There are herbal cures on sale. I tried some Chinese medicine, a nasal spray, which was supposed to cure rhinitis, but it made me sneeze!

Psychedelics? That has never occurred to me.

For some skin irritation reactions... like stinging nettles, the orange pollen on the underside of ferns can be rubbed on it for acute relief, at least in the pacific northwest.

Nothing works, not even black pepper. Staring at the sun works but that's got to be bad for you.

Swim found opium poppy tea to get rid of hayfever. He assumes it puts that part of his brain to sleep.

Curing an allergy with an addiction seems a bit.... unnecessary. Most stimulants, including methylone, cure SWIM's allergies temporarily , but that is not an every day cure.
