Poetry From My First Rave


I recently went to my first rave in the Se1 in london, saw Infected mushroom an Asterix at the Antiworld vs Psygate event....when i got home this is what i wrote.....im quite pleased with it!!

Dancing with my eyes closed,
The warm rush of love consumes me and those around me.
Can’t handle this passion,
I wanna scream and whisper it to all the ravers that feel this mind-blowing empathy with me,
Just dance, dance until the music pulses through my veins and into my spine,
Flowing,
The hammering bass determining my everything.
Glance at those around me, every eye caught re-establishes the bond,
Makes the fuzzy feeling in my chest explode ten-fold.
Can’t understand how or why, but it doesn’t matter,
I simply exist,
Enjoying,
Experiencing something that only those in my bubble can comprehend.
Love this sensation,
This exploration of the drug-fuelled collection of such individuals,
Makes the bullshit of the world so insignificant,
Got my friends around me, drugs in my system, a smile on my face and I’m drowning in a room overflowing with psy-trance,
f**k,
I love this,
Don’t wanna leave
But I have to……

Awwwwwwwww,
I’m on the way down from being so elevated,
Falling back into reality,
Oh shit,
There it is………..

This just captures the moment. It brings back the fealings and memories of the first time I droped.
