How Much Heat is Too Much (Alkaloid Degradation)?

swiy did a small extract with whisky the other day on 50 grams of dried shrooms then he evaped the whisky and finished evaping the water on the lowest heat setting on a gas stov with the dish elevated 8 inches above the flame,did he destroy any/all the fun stuff?
