SWIM's home-made bulb pipe
![]() The metal part is left on the bulb so there's something to hold on to, and SWIM just rolled up a peice of paper and stuck it down the hole. He also wrapped the tip of it with duct tape to act as a mouthpeice, or else the paper would get all soggy. |

Nice...
SWIM just hollows out a bulb stick a straw in there and starts hitting... works wounders. Its fun watching the smoke swirl in the bulb. |

Re: SWIM's home-made bulb pipe
swim thinks thats great and all, but he also thinks youll be burning up the paper you stuck in there! Try using a hollowed out pen w/ aluminum foil wrapped around the end. (keeps the pen from melting)

Re: SWIM's home-made bulb pipe
Theres no way that inside straw should melt unless its made out of anything but ice...
If it doesnt touch the glass part that gets heated it wil work fine, cystals melt at a really low temp. |

Re: SWIM's home-made bulb pipe
yea they do melt at a pretty low temp, but after taking several consecutive hits Swim thinks the temps will be pretty high.

Re: SWIM's home-made bulb pipe
Ya it can build up heat, but the glass of the bulb would probably shatter before it reached the temp that would melt the plastic straw.
SWIM Has tested with a straw with an extreamly hot bowl and noticed no sighns of melting the straw, however he touched it too the side of the bulb and it did melt the end of it. He should be safe looking at the device he has made. |
