Chocolatier allegedly has ecstatic fare
NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- Authorities at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport arrested a British chocolate maker this month after allegedly finding ecstasy in his luggage. While chocolate has been known to thrill those who consume it, the New York Post said Saturday that chocolatier Love Sky Dancer allegedly was found with 1,010 grams of a less legal form of ecstatic fun this month. According to a criminal complaint, customs agents first found cocoa on Love Sky Dancer's person. Then they allegedly found the unusual package of a "brown crystalline substance" inside his luggage. Now Dancer, who reportedly changed his name legally, is awaiting trial on drug charges. His arrest may also prompt some to question exactly what product he was talking about prior to his arrest on his Web site, Raw Living. "It's a magical loving experience, a super-healthy treat that will open your heart and give your body a healthy kick start," he had written about one of his chocolaty products. http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Quirks/...tic_fare/5920/ Sky Dancer is a well known person in the scene. This sucks. |

Re: Sky Dancer caught with kilo of XTC on JFK airport
[top]HIPPIE DIPPY TRIPPY[top]GOOFBALL JFK DRUG BUST[top]By STEFANIE COHENMay 19, 2007 -- A chocolate maker and health-food consultant who goes by the name of Love Sky Dancer was arrested for trying to bring too much joy into the country - in the form of the drug ecstasy, federal authorities charged yesterday. Dancer, of Glastonbury, England, was nabbed by customs officials at Kennedy Airport on May 2 getting off a plane from London's Heathrow Airport. When customs agents asked him why he had three plastic bags filled with powdered cocoa in his luggage, he replied that he teaches how to make chocolate, authorities said. But he didn't have a very good answer when they asked him about 1,010 grams of a "brown crystalline substance" - ecstasy - that was found nestled inside one of his bags, according to the criminal complaint. Love Sky Dancer - his legal name, according to his lawyer - had some strange requests for prosecutors during his initial appearance in Brooklyn federal court on May 3. "My client is on a very special diet. He only consumes fresh organic foods," said federal defender Andrew Carter at the court appearance. Dancer also advised the feds that he doesn't like to drink out of plastic water bottles - only glasses. It was unclear at his arraignment yesterday as to whether his dietary wishes were met at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he's been holed up. During yesterday's court appearance, Dancer, who sports a blond ponytail and wire-rim glasses, pleaded not guilty to the drug charges. Carter said a friend who lives in Maui, Denise Kismet, is going to put up her $800,000 house to get Dancer out of jail. Kismet also claims to have $300,000 in equity - funds that could be used to post bail, which the judge has not yet set. Dancer has also requested to be allowed to stay with Kismet in Hawaii for the duration of the trial. "Mr. Dancer has no intention of fleeing," Carter said. "He intends to stay [in this country] and fight this case." Magistrate Judge Steven Gold said he'd likely set the chocolatier free - and scheduled another appearance for Wednesday. Dancer is a fan of the "raw food" diet, which holds that food loses most of its nutrients when cooked and has written a glowing review of some special raw chocolate bars on the Web site Raw Living. "It's a magical loving experience, a superhealthy treat that will open your heart and give your body a healthy kick start. Its the best raw chocolate in Europe. I love it and cannot stop eating it," he gushed. http://www.nypost.com/seven/05192007...anie_cohen.htm |

Re: Sky Dancer caught with kilo of XTC on JFK airport
Not to mention having a dip shit hippy name just screams "I'm carrying drugs" to humorless inspectors... Some people... Like they wouldn't notice the bags of brown powder and take a closer look.
Not to mention the nerve of demanding raw organic foods? What part of prison implies comfort? Last edited by Potter; 10-07-2007 at 23:29. |

Re: Sky Dancer caught with kilo of XTC on JFK airport
Inmate: Jail food makes me sick
BY JOHN MARZULLI DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Sunday, January 6th 2008, 4:00 AM Love Sky Dancer - yes, that's his legal name - claims the prison grub at the Metropolitan Detention Center is making him sick, and he's demanding a diet of organic raw vegetables. Dancer, 44, a once-happy hippie from South Devon, England, pleaded guilty last year to smuggling a kilo of Ecstasy in chocolate powder into Kennedy Airport for a pal named Davey Dreds last May 2. Dancer, who faces up to three years in prison when sentenced, wants Judge Frederic Block to let him do the rest of his time in the United Kingdom, where prisons are more accommodating to vegans. "We do not mean to diminish the charge to which Mr. Dancer has pleaded guilty, but the Bureau of Prisons must allow inmates who follow a recognized religion to have available the dietary requirements of that religion," lawyer Robert Simels told the Daily News. The deviation from his diet has resulted in flulike symptoms, pain and rashes - turning the cancer survivor's stay at the MDC into a "living hell," Simels added. Born with the less colorful moniker of Ian Edwards, he converted to the Essenian religion around 1997 and was given the title Lord Sky Dancer after his ordainment. Later, he dropped the "Lord" because it sounded too grandiose and opted for "Love" instead, court papers show. Prison officials rejected requests from Essenian bishops to provide him natural or unprocessed food. A prison lawyer insisted the food at MDC does not contain harmful chemicals. He has turned down the vegetables, which he believes contain pesticides, opting for a daily diet of boiled water, dried grits and honey. A prison official referred a reporter to the Bureau of Prisons Web site, which notes a "no flesh option" for alternative religious diets. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2008...me_sick-2.html |

Re: Sky Dancer caught with kilo of XTC on JFK airport
Why was this guy bringing a kilo of MDMA powder through an airport anyways? You've got to be braindead to try and do something like that!
Walking into an airport nowadays in the USA is kind of like walking into a maximum-security government building. |
