Here's a tip:


take an empty beer bottle (on it's side) and roll it over the gram still inside the bag... this only works well if there is ample room in the bag... go back and forth a bit and there you go... you can finish it off w/ a razor... but it's already close.

A spoon works well also, once the big rocks are crushed... you can then run it through a strainer with the spoon grinding- it's finer than you'd ever get with just a razor.

take a 100 dollar bill, and wrap it around your pill/rock or whatever. now use the bottom and side of your lighter to crush it up. it's inside the bill so it will stay inside the bill and not get lost, or stick to you bottom of your lighter.

I don't know about ya'll, but I use a credit card...I don't trust myself with razor blades...I'm clumsy...

I have considered using a pill grinder/crusher. I have a really nice
one and I may try it out. In the past I have lost little tiny pieces
due to the razorblad hitting it and it flies off the surface I am
cutting on, usually a picture frame.

That beer bottle method is pure genious. I used it
and my shit was wayyyyyy finer than anyone could get
it with a razor, it was like powdered sugar. Thanx

just put the coke on the surface place a bill over it then run the credit card over it a few times getting firmer each time then remove the bill take your card and make your snow pile injoy

i tried this except with a hot sauce bottle...for some reason there was hot sauce bottle in my room

it got it incredibally fine, reminiscient of a mortar and pestle

So I crush the
rocks by centering the bottom of the handle (it's flat) over a rock and
push it down gently while twisting until it's almost flat with the
mirror. When all the rocks have been processed in this manner I
then just mush all the powder on the mirror until I can't see any more
rocks. Scrape the bottom of the handle with a razor blade into
the pile, then scrape up the powder into a pile (some of it sticks to
the mirror). Then I'll chop with the blade to make sure
everything's powdered, but this usually isn't a fully necessary step -
I just like to play with the powder; the ritual is important to me.</span><br style="font-family: courier new,courier,mono;">

I use a grinder. I think its the best thing for making your rocks into really fine powder. Plus you don't have to sit there chopping it up, just put it in and watch the fine powder come out! Quick and easy. -K

The way i usually do it that works for me is to take my celphones flat
part and make sure the bag is closed very tight and put it over and
push. then keep pushing it onto its very fine. it works pretty well,
cutting up with a razor can take way too long

Spoons are definitely the way forwards for crushing anything to powder. Take 2 spoons, one slightly larger than the other. Place pill or rocks in larger spoon. Place bowl of smaller spoon on top and apply pressure, gently at first - press too hard and it'll splinter, spraying bits all over the place! As the pill/rocks break down, gradually increase the pressure to gain a finer powder. Scrape the powder off the spoons, and away ya go! It might be a good idea to do this inside a wide glass or cup ( dry! ) until you've got an idea of how much pressure to use!

99.9% of you are going to say "you are f-ing nuts." For the 0.1% of perfectionists out there, buy a small ceramic mortar and pestle. It works brilliantly and creates a nice fine powder. The shape of the mortar keeps little pieces that break off from flying away. (most of the stuff I got was in solid chunks -- if you get mostly powder and a few chunks this is definitely overkill.)

Now if you're an UBER-perfectionist and just have to have a perfectly fine powder with no uncrushed chunks, step two is to take the crushed powder from the mortar and press it through a very fine mesh screen (I used the screen from a ganja crusher/pollenator.) Nothing but the tiniest granules get through the screen, allowing you to recrush until yer done.

I know. WAY too much effort, but the outcome is simply perfect.

over mine. I just used the credit card. Twist and crush at

I'm surprised only a few people mention the lighter method. In
college (less than 10 years ago), it seemed like everyone was snorting
ritalin or aderol or something not-quite-meth, and the only saw I saw
that done was using a bic lighter.. the sort of eliptical shaped
ligther (not the cheap/clear flat sided ones).



This head I know up in San Fran built a mechanical sieve sort of like a
paint mixer but small. It shook this small canister (a lot like
the pill splitter old people use.. as you close the canister, a few
blades cut the rock into smaller pieces) with screens in it, and after
10 or 15 minutes the powder that came out was super super fine.



Who knows what else you can do if you have too much time on your hands.

I'm with Zach Swan on this one, the mortar and pestal works better than anything. (Its like babypowder) Also, it really takes no more time than using a razor or credit card.

chop it up VERY fine with either a razor or u can get a bottle and put the coke in a big bag and roll the bottle over it. just simply dump out the coke on slick flat surface and make lines with a razor or credit card. or u could b like me and just dive in the pile!
