BZP experiences

The following was given to me by a Neoplatonist of my acquaintance, who is aware of my association with this Forum. He claims it was given to him by "an Archon, beyond the plane of Saturn," whatever that means. Mostly likely none of it is true anyway, cause that guy lies like a pirate.

Anyway, here it is. I promise it's not about me. Apologies for the long post.

The wizard has not generally been one to celebrate Beltane in the past, but being in Ireland, on a lovely sunny Spring morning, and having in his bathroom cabinet two "Exotic" brand piperazine pills, which would soon become illegal to posess, he decided it was time to start. The pills came packaged with two booster pills called "Elevate."

This is the information on the packaging:

The address listed on the package is in Auckland, New Zealand. The pills were purchased in a head shop in Dublin, Ireland, before the ban went into effect.

The appearance of the "Exotic" pills are red, circular, slighty less than the diameter of a current (marked 2003 ) European 1 cent coin, perhaps about 8mm in thickness. The word "Exotic" is written across them. I do not recall the colour of the writing. "Elevate" pills are of the same dimensions, but a mottled white colour, with "Elevate" on them, in black.

The wizard is male, in his mid-twenties, approximately 75kg in weight. Good health, reasonably fit, experienced (but responsible) psychoactive user. This is his first experiencd with piperazines.

T -0400: At approximate solar noon (1130), after making ablutions, and not having broken my fast, I raised energy, made adoration to the Maypole, consecrated the elements, and gave a libation in the garden. Following this, I broke fast with the usual morning supplements:

200mg vitamin C
13mg zinc
250mg magnesium
10ml Floradix, a fruit and vegetable-based liquid vitamin and mineral supplement
1 teaspoon Manuka honey
1 large clove garlic
1 plum

Then left the house for a meeting.

T -0130: Having arrived early for the meeting, I took 1 double espresso (machine metered, about 1 decilitre), with 2 packets of brown sugar, and 1 small scone. This would be all that I would eat for more than 24 hours.

T -0045: Entering the meeting, took both "Elevate" pills, with water from a bottle I had conveniently found on the bus.

T 0000: The meeting concluded. Ignoring the warning on the package, took both "Exotic" pills orally, with water from a drinking fountain. Terrible-tasting water. The pills went down fine.

T +0045: On the bus. Definite mood lift noticed, not placebo. Possbily slight perceptual alteration.

T +0100: Returned home. Significant euphoria felt. Feeling brave, happy, and sociable. Removed my rings and footwear. Mild nausea in a few short waves (perhaps five), seperated by a few minutes. Noticed difficulty urinating. Drank a glass of water, which induced more significant nausea, but this passed quickly. Retired to the courtyard to spend a few hours fiddling in the sunshine.

The fiddle sounded very strange to my ear, but it seemed to be in tune when I checked it. Went back inside to use the tuner, and the tuner says it's right. This is an unexpected and difficult to describe perceptual alteration. There is also a slight visual alteration, with colour enhancement and a subtle rainbow effect, comparable to the effects sometimes seen the day after a mescaline or psilocybe experience, but milder, and not quite the same. No closed or open eye visuals as such. Sense of touch does not appear noticebly altered, although this was not specifically tested.

My playing, which isn't very good in the first place, doesn't seem to be much effected by the drug, i.e. not noticeably enhanced or interfered with, but the enjoyment of it is quite high, as there is very strong euphoria and some stimulation. I do feel the emotional content of my playing much more strongly than normal, a very positive effect.

Along with these effects there is a noticeable "fuzzyness," not the confusion and altered thought patterns of LSD or psilocybin, but more like the burryness that can come with cannabis. Despite this fuzzyness, focus seems to be approved, and I fiddle in a very single-minded manner, with little distraction.

T +0215: Euphoria is perhaps a bit stronger than an hour ago, but has more or less leveled off. Continued fiddling, alternating with throat singing. The experience of throat singing is singificantly enhanced, comparable to the enhancement from MDMA, or in the afterglow of psilocybe mushrooms. Overall, I feel great, and am enjoying the experience.

Thought patterns are slightly altered, with some limited insights, but not really anything more than might be achieved from ritual and throatsinging without drugs. No ego loss or spiritual inspiration, however it is still very pleasant. I feel that the very edge of psychedelic/entheogenic effects, but they are very slight. I decide not to focus on them, and am not compelled to do so. No time dialation, in fact my sense of time passing seems to be very accurate, possibly more so than usual.

T +0300: More throat singing, from which arise the barbarous names, and an invocation of the LORD. Some enthoegenic effects, possbily not attributable to the drug. Still no psychedelic effects, properly called, i.e. no revelation into the workings and nature of the mind or spirit. Euphoria still strong. Thought about taking some JWH-018, but was too absorbed in fiddling.

T +0330: Euphoria starting to wane, but still strong. A housemate comes out and makes a recording, on his mobile phone, of me throat singing and playing a tune (badly). The sun is starting to get close to the buildings across the road. I notice I am gritting my teeth, and have to make a concious effort to relax my jaw.

T +04:30: Euphoria has begun to shift into dysphoria. The sun having gone down, I move into the shed to escape the chill. Still feeling focused, but getting grumpy.

T +5:30: Felt quite depressed for the previous hour. This is beginning to fade, but I am left exhausted and with a mild headache. I move inside and put away the fiddle. I have eaten very little all day, but am not hungry in the slightest. I am exhausted, but not sleepy.

T +0900: Attempted to sleep, but failed.

T +1200: Still unable to sleep, however there is no more noticeable alteration of conciousness. Headache is a bit worse. Feeling frustrated. Jaw is very sore. Lower back is slightly so. Noticed a distinct B-vitamin smell in my urine. This does not usually occur with my daily supplements alone, so I attribute it to the vitamins listed on the ingredients of the pills. I notice a chemical taste in my mouth, similar to that experienced with LSD. My body odour (underarms) is different than usual, again chemical and reminiscent of LSD. Body temperature seems to be elevated, but this was not measured.

T +2500: Still have not slept, and have no appetite. Will not sleep until late tonight, I expect, as I do not feel particularly weary. Lying in bed awake seems to have been sufficent rest, despite the frustration. Otherwise fully returned to baseline.

Conclusions:

Despite the unpleasant comdown, this was very enjoyable experience. Even with the comedown, 24 hours later I feel much better than I would after a large dose of psychedelics. An excellent product. If it were still legal, I would certainly try this product again. If piperazines of this sort became available on the black market, I would probably purchase some and hold on to them for a time when genuine psychedelics weren't available. Probably best used as it is marketed - for parties or concerts.

I would categorize this combination as a very strong euphoric and appetite suppressant, and a mild stimulant. I noticed none of the speedyness, jitteryness, shaking, or unusual cardiac activity that I experience from coffee, amphetamine, or at the onset of MDMA or sometimes mushrooms. Sociability was increased, but without the empathic feeling of connectedness of MDMA, and without the sharpness of thought and delight in wordplay and convolution that I get from amphetamine.

The euphoria was very intense, certainly stronger than amphetamine or opiates, possibly more so than MDMA, but without MDMA's additional benefits. The euphoria was perhaps most comparable to the afterglow of smoked DMT, but again without the additional benefits. It is a fuzzy, "chemical" kind of euphoria, not the clear, radiant, natural feeling of DMT.

Body load was minimal, and overall the side effects were quite mild. I do feel that this product has some abuse potential, as the dysphoria from the comedown could lead to re-dosing, and with the very strong appetite and sleep supression, irresponsible use has the potential for serious problems.

I was mildly disappointed by the almost complete lack of entheogenic or entactogenic properties. This is certainly not a psychedelic, at least in this formulation. It is unfortunate that the BZP/TFMPP ratio is not listed on the packaging. If I were to try to achieve psychedelic effects from this product in the future, I would try purchasing some TFMPP seperately, and taking this along with the pills. Possibly it would be good in combination with other drugs, but I am not sure what. I might attempt to use it as a booster if I was unable to obtain a large enough quantity of psilocybe mushrooms, but did have a small dose on hand. In retrospect, I wish that I had taken that JWH-018, as I believe cannabinoids could enhance the experience and help with the comedown.

Not exactly what I was hoping for, but highly enjoyable in its own right. It certainly has its uses. This drug is worth a try. With very specific effects and limited side effects, I'm sure that this could become some people's drug of choice.

SWIM was smoking weed before and while he downed 1 of the two "Beanz" (herbalhighs old BZP containing mix with TFMPP). SWIM took it orally, but emptied it into juice on an empty stomach. SWIM was also alone at home. SWIM doesn't remember the exact timings but SWIM felt intense paranoia and anxiety and he found it hard to keep his mind from racing about worrying thoughts. SWIM also had a few hallucinations. The good experiences were TONS of energy and complete love for music. Also sense of touch was amplified a bit.

Second time SWIM took only half a bean and had a pretty good time, but the effects weren't strong enough.
