The beauty of decay
This is another of my favorite places on the internet I'd like to share with you.http://www.opacity.us/locations this man is a wizard with photography and though some of these places are rather creepy they do have a beauty to them. One highlight of this site and a personal favorite is an abandoned theme park called The Enchanted Forest.I highly reccommend it.

The enchanted forest is very beautiful and very sad,it's like a long forgotten dream from childhood.

Re: The beauty of decay
That's a great link, man. I have always had a thing for photography. Bought a good SLR about a year ago...The first time I've had a professsional camera outside of the film realm.

Re: The beauty of decay
I love photography and I love abandoned and decaying things. One of the more interesting photos on that site is in an abandoned asylum where the outline of a screaming little girl can be made on one of the doors.Trick of light or paranormal?Hmm I'll try and find the pic.

Re: The beauty of decay
Sadly some of those old asylums are being torn down! They are destroying interesting and unique pieces of architecture. They are also trivializing and trying to erase the pain so many innocent people in those places experienced.

Re: The beauty of decay
yeah, where do i find one of these? http://www.opacity.us/site150_kingsl...c_hospital.htm
...and i don't mean a print of the image, i mean, where can i find a creepy old asylum, i'd like to set up a practice, get some equipment, some pharmaceuticals, beds with straps, drills, saws, bright lights, a vice or two, iron bath tubs, leeches, some syringes and some 62 year old nurses that wear too much sloppy make up and resemble clowns, and we'll be in business. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH MUAHA MUAHA MUAHA "Everything's going to be alright. " "I like my brain! " "Please mister, noooo. " "Muaaahaha. " "37 ducks went bowling so that means that the lowest common denominator of the genome pool went scribbling up into jesus christ, 12 apostles means tom cruise naked dated fiona apple's child one time, bjork ate her first born child and replaced it with a swan, lifting weights x 8 sets of 7 = 367,872! Now, 367,872 divided by 8000 miles (the diameter of the earth) =79 x 6.7 billion people divided by the number of institutionalized children under the age of 12, times the number of violent offenders in the u.s. = ... The answer is within me. The answer is me! I am the answer. See doc i'm fine! ![]() "

Re: The beauty of decay
The paranormal energy in these places must be off the roof. These are places were people suffered through some absolutely horrific things.Ghost hunters almost always get something interesting in terms of photograph, audio,or video in these types of places.

Re: The beauty of decay
Yeah, even if it's all in the imagination, it's not every day you can trip without drugs, and i imagine living there would be madness!

Re: The beauty of decay
I wouldn't want to live there.I've been in a few places that weren't just haunted they were filled with malevolent spiritual energy.Nothing at all like tripping, nothing fun about being around it.

Re: The beauty of decay
Unless you like living with the dead. I would learn to love it, show them I am empathetic and maybe everyone could be friends, the dead are probably more enlightened than the living and easier to get along with.

Re: The beauty of decay
LOL tayo! That could work to some extent with some spirits,I've learned this through evp's.Some are so confused,so hateful, and so far past what once made them human that all one can do is stay out of their way.I've been dealing with this kind of thing for awhile.I've seen some very interesting things and some utterly terrifying things aswell.A supernatural experience in some ways is like a very strong psychedellic experience. It shakes what one knows as reallity apart.I can definitely give you some good info on beginners ghost hunting in pm if you would like.
