Can you smoke O in a glass pipe

Is it possible to smoke Opium in a glass pipe? Like the same ones that are used to smoke methamphetamine (speed)? Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

since opium is a resin, it might melt and fall down the front end of teh pipe...just use a hash bowl, or a regular pipe, do NOT use a water pipe with water since all opiates are highly water-soluble...or you could and then you'd have to drink the bong water, but it would be horribly bitter so i doubt you wanna do that....just use a regular bowl and you'll be fine.

Interesting. Thanks for the information. I actually caught my husband smoking a glass pipe and he tried to tell me it was opium. Obviously is was not. Thanks for your help.

just east it. unless you have an ACTUAL opium pipe, you do loose alotof the smoke and the resin afterwhich its still eatable. so just eat a half g or so.

What about smoking it from a lightbulb? It wouldn't go anywhere so I would assume it would probably work fine. What do you guys think? Has anybody tried this?

Thats probably a bad idea. Are you trying to 'vaporize' it, or actually apply some sort of flame to the inside?



If you're trying to vape it, which I don't even know is possible (i've
yet to try opium, I really want to), then i'd suggest thicker glass.
Get a glass coke bottle or beer bottle and use that, its less likely to
blow up in your face, and besides, it won't have all the fun glass dust
in it!

There are glass pipes that can be used to smoke hash. They're both resin, right?

The dust in the light bulbs is kinda like a paint. If you put regular table salt in it and swirl it around, it will rub it off. After all of the dust is rubbed off, you rinse it out really good with water and let it dry.

If what you are referring to is vaporizing the opium by applying the
flame to the outside of the glass, then yes it will definitely work. It
has been the custom to smoke opium that way in my neck of the woods for
many years now. It is very likely your husband was telling the truth if
it was a brown resin in the pipe.
