the first couple times SWIM rolled, they were fantastic. the first 2 times were both in england, and were at raves. he rolled again when he got home later in the year, it was amazing one day, then so-so the next. and since then, rolling has lost it's amazing methy-speed thrill. months separate all these events except earlier this year which was 2 nights in a row and the 2 england ones were about 4 days apart. could the differences just be from the pill, the enviorment, or possibly a tolerance gained from taking other stimulants like methylphenidate (ritalin) on a near daily basis. (does methylphenidate weaken a roll?) a little englightenment would be great, thanks.

Budgie doesnt think it could be because of tolerance unless swiyour pills were stuffed full of speed, mainly because MDMA isnt a stimulant.
It doesnt really help doing them 2 days in a row, because most of the serotonin in the body would be depleted from the first session and MDMA needs a reserve of Serotonin to work its magic. Hence not much of a feeling the next day.
He's not sure about the effects 4 days apart..

Could be all the things you say. You can find out by a process of elimination:

* Poor quality pills -- get a testing kit
* Cross tolerance from other stimulants: unlikely but if you are exhausted from these you are unlikely to get a good pill high -- try abstaining from these stimulants
* Set and setting -- try doing the pills in at a club or a rave instead of home (swim only does pills when going out, never at home)

Swiy also mentioned "amazing methy-speed thrill" so possible that you had pills cut with amphet which is what swiy likes -- try taking phet with the pills. Swim does not like pills cut with phet, only pure mdma

thanks for all the imput. yeah. back when swim rolled in England, he didn't take any methylphenidate. all the times were amazing. swim thinks there may be some sort of cross-tolerance thing between methylphenidate and some of the effects of MDMA. swim has trouble getting any sort of methy-rush off of any drug nowadays. that could be why

i think you shouldnt rule out environment either though. Setting plays an absolutely key part in any drug experience and one such as MDMA it is more important than ever. SWIF has rolled massively harder at festivals even when he's done MDMA 2 days prior because of the environment.
