Converting tea to smokable Opium

Swit wants to know if anybody out there has any experience with boiling down poppyseed or poppy-pod tea into a smokable form. If so, did it work well?

after hearing others experiences trying and wasting many a pods, i believe its unobtainable. its just not the right medium like the latex is. because if you cook too hot it destroys alkaloids. however, that is not to say that the pods themselves arent potent. i wrote a poppy tea recipe in here that SWIm found to be very potent. just buy some ice tea mix and it wont even taste bad.

however. i just had a passing thought. if swim were to grind up pods VERY VERY finely. ad just enough alcohol to dissolve everything. filter out heavily the plant material and evaporate the alcohol without heat......there is a CHANCE there may be something after the waiting period. however, this is only speculation I am no chemist and what they suggest you do to extract smokable O just doesnt seem practical. it would be more practical to grow them yourself but dont. its illegal.

yes, high proof alcohol, preferably pure ethanol will yield an extract I believe. Mix finely ground poppy in airtight container with alcohol, let sit a few days, shake around every once in a while, strain evaporate, let dry, scrape together.

The thing is that opaites have about the same parts per ml in water as in alcohol. It's one of the reasons that CWE works.

i just thought alcohol was better with organic compounds?

it certainly evaporates faster, and alcohol costs money and it may be hard to find the desired proof.

Yes it is obtainable but NEVER let any boiling or simmering (or bubbling of any kind) take place as you will destroy all of the opiate alkaloids. Refer to some of the other threads to find out more on this subject.
