Experiences with viewing auras on psychedelics

NotI used to do a significant amount of LSD,
starting back when it was legal, although NotI
never had any Sandoz.....

The material (in retrospect) was too strong,
or Fool NotI gluttenously consumed too much (likely,
since the $price was $right ..)

But flashing colors and resonant radiences
were discernable around others, and greater or lesser beauty
was attributed to the colors, which ranged
from transparent and diaphanous,
to almost mustard color and still.

They could also be felt:
what I now would describe as rampant and unleashed Kundaleni force,
ripping though propped-open chakra doors,
and the ability to point my finger and see bolts of energy
fly off as if they were huge static discharges.
(I was going to say lightning, but that's not quite true..)

(The first 'cid noti took was amazing:
he sat on the edge of a bath tub,
and watched the patterns in the linoleum
grow like seaweed thru 6 inches of amber colored oil,
and sway hynotically back and forth:
and then, without benefit of contact or erection,
came in his pants, leaving a giant "oil spot"
in his jeans...)

Far better was Peyote:
NotI was 5 years older,and significantly more mature,
when that became available.

Everything living had a discernable aura,
and meditation was achievable and pleasant:
360 degree vision was possible,
and the only conscious "out of body" experiences ever realized..
were experienced.

Couldn't the aura phenomenon also be described as some sort of resonating image error in the eye?

It could be described as lots of things: Kirlian aura, Orgone energy, image errors in the eyeball, brain farts, etc. It depends on one's metaphysics and epistemology. All of these would be different models trying to represent the same thing; the burden of proof for any positive claim (physical or mystical) rests with the claimant.

swim is able to see auras without being under the influance of any drug! but swim finds that it is definatly enhanced somewhat when on LSD, X and occasionally MJ.

swim thinks it all really comes down to what everyone personally believe about "auras" and alot of other spiritual things, as some ppl like myself may be more "intouch" with things and able to use abilities with or without drugs!

swims mother used to b herion addict when she was a teenager, she has told swim of many things that would happen back then, but she has now been clean for over 20 years and she says that her ability to see things now, is incredible, compared to when she was an addict!, she says that it definatly had an effect, but the feeling of seeing and feeling things now, totally straight and clean, is more of a high then any drug could ever give her!

When SWIM tripped DOB, he noticed all sorts of auras, around, and contained by his fellow trippers. He noticed throughout the trip powerful auras, each a different colour for each person. He also noticed a glowing redness in the center of some people's foreheads. He remarked this to be the third eyes connecting and being on a perfect level of telepathic frequency with the others.

SWIM has definetly felt similiar things. like vibes and and i guess you could say auras. What you said about feeling "ilke your body just light up". thats a definate. Once thing SWIM has notieced about 2c's especailly 2ce and sometimes a good dose of 2ci is the way they make you think and ponder while SWIM is in a particular state of mind.

Auras are fairly incredible phenomenon. They are indeed fields of electromagnetic energy which are a result from electrical currents inside of one's body. SWIM has seen an aura for sure just once, SWIM was sleeping off a DoB trip when he was awakened by his girlfriend entering the room, upon opening his eyes and looking at her he noticed a distinctly red light emanating off of her shoulders in a rising spiral motion around her head and slightly above it. SWIM thinks this was caused by his girlfriends very powerful root centered energy, the phenylethylamines he was sleeping off, and just waking up from REM sleep - perhaps the body was relaxed enough to turn off the filters and see this phenomenon.

SWIM agrees with the Doors, as SWIM has talked to people who are in a very advanced yoga/meditation practice and they have the ability to see auras. The ability to see them is related to the opening of your sixth chakra which corresponds to your pineal gland. The pineal gland is an extremely light sensitive gland inside of your brain that regulates your circadian rhythm and produces melatonin in the absence of light. When it becomes energized one becomes highly sensitive to varying frequencies of light, hence the ability to see auras.

Psychedelics of many forms have the potential to activate parts of your body which would otherwise be inactivated, this is why one might see auras under the influence of a psychedelic.

One can characterize the auras based on the chakra system, red being the lowest frequency and roughly corresponding to your adrenal which resides about an inch or two above your perineum and the highest frequency - white or ultraviolet light corresponding to the seventh chakra at the crown of the head. SWIM hopes that one day he will see auras without the use of substance!

SWIM has never saw an aura but when on LSD or similar (not shrooms) he is always drawn to trees. The way the branches stretch up to the sky like lighting and how SWIM seems to be able to control how fast they sway in the wind has always transfixed SWIM. He has sat on his doorstep in the pouring rain looking at the trees on the park and has never felt so happy. Not on Ecstasy or MDMA, not in such a RIGHT way. It's a weird thing but SWIM feels more connected to the trees than any person while in that state.

Swim told me that there is a certain experience where every thing becomes like and aura and he can see energy lines off of everything. They flow outwardly like a rainbow, while dissipating in the air. While in this state swim said he has answered peoples questions in their heads before they asked aloud. This he explained was more of a feeling...not the same as vibe. Where as the energy lines were visible both day and night. There have been many catalyst, but one thing remains the same, swim goes to a same or similar state independent of the catalyst. Swim is such a story teller.

I guess Audrey could always sense auras, but she didn't know, and thought all the aura stuff was starry anyway.
Audrey never saw colours around people, but she got a sense of various colours and textures.
Some of these Audrey found too uncomfortable, if they were coming from 'sore' type characters in her presence. Othertimes they would be pleasant.

At the time, she just thought it was bad feelings in the room, where people she worked with were, ones she didnt get on with.
As Audrey knew not much about starry stuff, she didnt pay much attention to the images or textures. Sometimes there would be sounds too. Not audio hallucinations, more an impression of a sound in her mind in response to the energy of a persons presence.

Audrey is blessed with synaesthesia, something she has always had, but only became aware she had it, after psychedelics.

When Audrey took psychedelics, she sensed, and saw slightly many lines and meshes, and crystalline structures. These were similar in appearance to what Audrey knew about natural patterns.
She also learnt the metaphorical perspective of these.

She can see where he is coming from now she has experienced psychedelics.

Audrey dosent know for sure, but she sometimes feels she can sense a feel for the life people have had, by the 'cloud' of textures, colours or sounds she senses around people.
They only trouble her, because she has been vulnerable to victimization in the past.
Audrey does not want to block this sense, as she thinks it could be transmuted into a gift, and not something to make her feel vulnerable.

Audrey does not use psychedelics frequently, just at times she feels right, as she does not see them as a drug.
Audrey feels undrugged when under them, like a cloud is lifted.
She also now has a little more understanding about the dynamics of energy and how it relates to the senses.

Audrey will go and read the rest of this thread now, to see if anyone else shares experiences and feelings/sensory input.
She only wrote this post now, while it was fresh in her mind.

For the record, SWIM has never taken psychedelics but have always been curious and done lots of research. After reading this SWIM officially wants to try LSD. Thanks for the experiences and ideas to everyone in this forum.

SWIM is wondering if anyone has been able to see auras on MDMA? SWIM wonders this because of how open MDMA made her so maybe you could be much more open to some of the things SWIYs on this thread have experienced? Especially anyone who is already quite spiritually advanced..?

I think there are actually two kinds of auras, optical auras and supernatural (in lack of a better name) auras.

Optical auras would be the result of purely optical phenomena in the eye, like diffraction, refraction, etc, and supernatural auras would be the result of opening the third eye, or some other "psychic" stuff.

Skeptics and most scientists thinks all percieved auras are optical ones, while many mystics, psychics and people in general thinks all percieved auras are supernatural ones. I think there are this two kinds of auras and each one can be percieved by different means.

SWIM is interested in the aura phenomenon since he was 11. Like someone told at the beginning of the discussion, SWIM has started seeing aura concentrating around his image in the mirror. SWIM think that everyone with exercice can see aura. Sure, MDMA, LSD and other psychedelichs could help, but SWIM think that aura is something tha people can see even without PSYC. Surely, SWIM started at little age in doing is aura exercices, so maybe this is a factor.

I think it is indeed... ive read that most (if not all) little children can percieve auras, but as they get older they pay less attention to it until get completly unable to percieve them.
