Re: please help swim with getting off tramadol

Swim doesn't know what tramadol addiction is like,it's not a true opiate but he would assume tramadol withdrawal is similar to opiate withdrawal.Perhaps easier to deal with? Not sure how long it lasts. If swiy is addicted to tramadol then swim is sure vicodon(hydrocodone and acetaminophen)would be as addictive if not more. That would just be switching to an addiction that is much more harmful due to the acetaminophen.

And if swiy told his doctor he was trying to quit tramadol then his doctor would probably help him taper off and most likely give him some sort of benzodiazepine.Swiy would not need to trade the vicodin(hydrocodone and acetaminophen for valium(diazepam) in that case.

Re: please help swim with getting off tramadol

Swim doubts it's like h or any really powerful opiate. What goes on between swiy and his doctor is confidential, swiy's doctor will not tell swiy's family or anything if swiy is worried about that.

If swiy wants valium(diazepam)or any other benzodiazepine they might be able to say to their doctor they are having very serious problems with anxiety or panic attacks or having difficultly sleeping. Not sure if swiy will get a benzodiazepine just for insomnia. If swiy says anxiety is keeping them awake then it is very likely they will get a benzodiazepine though.

Re: please help swim with getting off tramadol

Thats pretty easy.Just tell them swiy is very edgy and nervous, can't sit still or relax, has lots of confused and rushing thoughts and is unable to sleep.

Swim doesn't see a complete need for this,as swim said anything that happens with swiy and their doctor is confidential.Doctors are for the most part understanding if swiy is worried about it.

When swim was dealing with opiate withdrawals his doctor did not judge him or anything. He simply gave swim some tranxene(clorazepate)and some rozerem(ramelteon)to help him sleep and told him he should perhaps go into some sort of therapy.

Symptoms?Anxiety is not a virus. As swim said constant restlesness, difficulty sleeping, depressing or uncomfortable thoughts constantly spinning in swiy's head are the symptoms of anxiety.

Re: please help swim with getting off tramadol

Swim also has a problem with migraines. And when swim will go into withdrawal from opiates one of the main things that would make it so difficult is he will usually get these very painful and very powerful migraines. So this could be compared to withdrawal from tramadol if it happens when swiy doesn't have tramadol. Not at all sure what effect benzodiazepines would have on swiy's migraines.
