Is it ignorance or just stupidity

So I am looking around in Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot and where ever and I could not find any Mason-jars. I remember them being stocked in these places at one time. All I came close to was a cheap crappy PLASTIC "Air Tight" container. Since I ordered Mason Jars online, this was only 5 bucks, I just for sh*ts and giggles bought one of these PLASTIC things to experiment with (They Specifically State "Air Tight" on the label). Knowing full well that plastic IS NOT AIR TIGHT because even though it is a solid it is porous and breathes but had to see for my self. NOW my whole darn refridgerator smells like GARLIC (I figured that would be the best test for pundgent smells) So now I have to go buy Baking Soda. Hope this keeps anybody else from making a mistake.

But back to the point. Does that company know that the public is stupid or ignorant when they blatently place false statements on their lables. Or are they counting on people to just ignore their labels?

SWIOldfart is so right about plastic jars. Forget 'em!! SWIM uses a glass jar with a rubber gasket and a metal cincher like a bottle of Grolsch. It has an honored spot in SWIM's freezer, has for years.
