Codeine safety
If you leave a sealed jar of cold-water-extracted codeine in a cupboard for a couple of days...and the fluid turns from whitish to bright red...is it still safe to drink? Does this mean the codeine has broken down? Or is it just moldy?

Re: Codeine safety
Swim found that his solution turned a little pink if it wasn't stored in a fridge. His first though was not to drink it, but then curiosity and a lack of willpower got the better of him and he ingested it with no ill-effects. Bright red however.... he wouldn't touch that. There is a thread on this somewhere entitled "pretty pink codeine"
