the cheap 'balance' scales the OP refers to (& pic of) have proven to be quite reliable by my friend.
One quick way to 'test' it for proper calibration is to weigh 1.0cc water (or 1.0 mL...same thing). 1cc/mL of water = 1 gram exactly. likewise, 0.7cc = 0.7g = 700mg. those scales are basically accurate to around 5-10mg. i.e. 110mg is easy enough to determine as totally separate from 100mg. |
