"Freaking out"
Hey everyone, swim is fairly new to marijuana, i think he has smoked it about 3 times now. He has had weird experiences and is wondering if the effects on him are "normal".
The first time he left his smoking friends very early. He smoked a couple joints with them, and found himself saying "this shit doesn't work at all!". The moment he got home (about an hour after smoking), he found himself unable to sit still or concentrate on anything, within 5 minutes he was wandering around in the woods outside (at about 12:00 at night) and he kept walking around until 3 or 4' o'clock, he wasn't really sure why. Going home or going to sleep seemed really dreadful. Well in to the next day he was feeling strange. He couldn't listen to instructions at work very well and his mind seemed to be racing. The second time was with a bong. Once again he found himself thinking, "This doesn't work". But after about half an hour everything became a blur, and he found himself sitting on a couch for about 4 hours, completely unable to communicate or be in touch with the people around him. He could not talk (except for saying yes and no), and simple tasks like pouring milk were incredibly hard, requiring TONS of concentration. swim could not drive home. It was like his memory was too short to do anything. swim was also extremely paranoid, and kept thinking the people around him were criticising him or saying bad things. the third time swim also said "this stuff isn't working". And it didn't. swim didn't change the whole night. swim thinks he was very reluctant inhaling this time, because of previous experiences. have other people had these experiences? I always thought that being high made you more open and talkitive, chilled out, and tired. But it was quite the opposite for swim. What's up? Thanks. |

Re: "Freaking out"
swim's friend gets ridiculous from even one hit of weed, he and everyone else says he is "freaking out" he closes his eyes, tilts his head back and says "no, i dont wanna do anything, i cant even open my eyes." he sits slumped and doesnt fall asleep just whines about what weed did to him, he gets really aggressive if you bug him or try to make him feel better, and says he's hallucinating with his eyes closed, we try to bring him back to reality but he just says "get away from me!" shit like that, this person when not toking (because swim doesnt let him nor try to reintroduce him) is absolutely neurotic, narcissistic, was babied growing up and high ambition but lack of will power, and a bad person.. swim is only friends with him because theyve known eachother forever and likes to keep the peace. good luck making connections there... but yeah weed can be overstimulating for many people...

Re: "Freaking out"
swim thought he was going to pass out after smoking a fat blizz of hydro last week. Not really freaking out, just really surprized at how potent those nugs were. Happily surprized.

Re: "Freaking out"
Boreal, the experiences you have written about are very similar to alot of swims experiences when he has smoked a lot, for example swim smoked at a friends house after work yesterday and decided to walk home (4-5 miles) when he had a perfectly good bus pass. I hesitate to use the word normal for anything but swiys experiences are certainly more common than unique.
Swiy may find the over-stimulation that tayo talks about becoming less of an issue once swiy has smoked a but more. Also swim always finds having a few drinks (alcoholic) before/during a smoke helps him to be talkative. Be careful not to build smoking into too much of a big thing, this will almost certainly affect swiys chances of chilling out. And environment, companions, mood etc can have a huge impact on any high in swims experience, so try to make all these factors as comfortable as possible. |
