SWIM has a question for swiys who take Adderall daily. Swims tolerance is much higher than it used to be...swim wants to stop taking adderall for a week or so to lower her tolerance. Does any swiy know how long it would take? Also, what does swiy do when swiy is off Adderall? Swim gets horribly depressed and sleepy and wondered if swiy had any advice

30 mg XR...not recreational necessarily but swim believes there is a fine line between taking adderall for medicinal purposes (prescription) and recreational ones

One pill of 30 mgs in xr? It would take atleast five days, maybe less. I know in a week your tolerance will definetely lower itself..

18 months, wow.. I'm sure you will notice some difference. Being someone who takes the drug recreationally recreational, I'm not even sure what a 30 mg would do because make you about as alert as drinking two pots of coffee.

You may feel lil different, but I seriously doubt you will be fiending for a pill. However you might seem distant and a tad bit depressed.. nothing of "real big" will happen though and within five days you're tolerance should return to normal..

hopefully five days is long enough, I doubt it will be tho...swiy know of any happy pills for the time being?...today is swims first day and she is feeling fine but swim knows by tomorrow she will be crying about ex bfs and other nonsense things that don't make any sense to cry about.

nope the clinical effects subside after about 4 hours...compared to around eight a yr ago...maybe swim needs a higher dosage? or just a week break? swim has taken a week break and it helped a lot but that was over a year ago, before swim had a high tolerance

That is not true. There is no fine line, people are taking the med for a condition such as adhd or add so that they can function in school as a kid or hold down a job in the case of an adult. Sure you get some idiot doctors that misdiagnose the symptions and just gives the script out and don't do any follow ups putting a young potential swimster in rehab someday with a speed problem. Maybe swiy isn't really adhd or add and doesn't know it? If swiy is seeing a doctor, then that is a valid medical question for the doctor if swiy is using this med responsibly and has the conditions swim mentioned. Swim's son was just put on adderall this year, swim doesn't want him on it, but he went from hating school and failing to an honor roll student. He doesn't get a buzz or euphoria as that would be a sign he isn't add and some other educational issue would need to be looked into. Swim would stop that med fast in that case.

The other reason is for "fun" such as using the medication to get high just for the sake of getting high. Swim wonders what young amanda is really asking. Swim won't comment anymore as she is reading between the lines.

umm all swim meant was if a person who is adhd takes adderall for clinical purposes the effects diminish over time and tolerance is built up, just the same as recreational use...the fine line is that somone who wanted to use adderall for recreational purproses and someone who really is adhd and takes adderall every day really both need drug holidays for the same purposes, maybe...i dont know for sure

Ok yes tolerance does build up so if swiy wants a better euphoric effect, yes swiy would have to take a holiday.

SWIM doesn't want a euphoric effect...swim only wanted someone to give swim advice on how long it might take swims tolerance to level off in order for swims meds to work the same as a year and a half ago...nothing about getting high or euphoria was part of swims question. If swiy doesnt know any answers thats fine...swim just wanted to know if any swiys did
