Dreaming About Drugs

SWIM is looking for some info about dreams and drugs... he has been dreaming about meth EVERY NITE (not 99.9% of the time 100% of the time) And he is always trying to get it... and everytime he finds a bag full of cystals somthing happend like his hand shakes and he drops them or they melt in his hand he can NEVER get them.

Does anyone have any info on this?

well dreams usually hold meaning, and that is when human subconscious learning occurs... swim's interpretation is that swiy wants meth but knows it's bad for swiy so swiy drops it. maybe swiys subconscious is trying to tell swiy something.. maybe that meth is bad?

Well SWIM usaluly is lacking in the money department and usually steals it from his roomate witch is not very often and usaully means going in her perse when hes not looking and snagging it... mabye it means swim struggles to get it.

but really, not to be a smart-ass, but swim has found some nice results from UTGSE-ing (g=google). The results are about "altering your dreams", and stuff, if, you are interested. swim will probly try it out himself.

or that it's not swiy's meth, so swiy's gulity conscience drops it in the dream, like "this isn't right"... do you think that when swiy gets the bag swiy gets too excited that a bag has been acquired in the dream and then just wakes up? and even if swiy smoked it in the dream, it would likely produce a faux-high and that fauz-stimulation would also wake swiy up... so that would suck.

SWIM is not sure... howeve in REAL LIFE when hes removing some cystals from his roomates bag, his hand is voilently shaking like he has parkinsons desease, once its aquired the shaking shops and its uncontrolable.

maybe its an amphetamine induced obsession on the focus of guilt of the act?

I think its SWIMS great desire for the drug and not being able to get it on an eveyday bassis.

SWIM doesnt know if this is a good thing or a bad thing but the Euphoria acheived on meth is strong enogh so that if his whole family died 2 hours before use it would still be the best day of his life if he was high.


It may be good becuase he found somthing that pleasuable and perhaps many people can go their whole lives without knowing somthing of such power

and it may be bad because it will lead to a strong addiction, if it hassent already.

WOW. note to self "never try meth, it will make me not care about my family if they died." that was a strong way to classify a drug... hopefully that was a bit of exageration, otherwise SWIM would say SWIY is an addict at the peak of a drug induced satisfaction of every human emotion... which wouldn't be much of a good thing, intending no offense to someone who isn't you but it just seemed so harsh.

SWIM if anyhting is underexagerating.... The glass is always half full but too the max. The first time was just as good as it ever was.

Stil SWIM maneges to use only about once a week, but i think its due to not having the money for it.

maybe that's a good thing... health wise at least. yeah well good luck to swiy with meth, it seems like a "bound to hit rock bottom" type of drug especially for swiy, the way you make swiy sound is reminiscent of some of swim's excitement toward drugs but then swim takes it to the max and gets carried away and loses a certain meaning to a part of life... just hits bottom and bounces back... intellectualizes the situation and realizes that swim's addiction isn't the only thing that matters, but that can take experience. hopefully swiy is young and will have support to bounce back in the event that swiy hits bottom.

As a practitioner of Jungian analysis, which is heavy with dream interpretation, I can give you a long -distance reading (one rendered without actually knowing you).

The meth , while representing meth - represents more than meth. There are some issues in your life that carry a psychic charge of similar intensity to the desire for meth. These are all constellated together. Your unconscious choose meth as a symbol that you would recognize most easily.

You alone know what issues you are dealing with and how you are dealing (or not) with them. Advice. Think about this for awhile. Now keep a Dream-Journal by your bed. Write down as much of your dreams each morning (or whatever) as you remember. You will begin to notice patterns. Now comes the fun part: Find out what these patterns represent. Your subconscious is knocking at the door. It has a message for you. Let it in. The other option is depression.

Could it be a desire for somthing or is it mabye somthing wrong with my life...
SWIM longs to get out ever sense he was dumped by his Gf and moved away, he also longs for another gf.

However SWIM has also made some bad choices in his life but doesnt see how this gives him the desire for anything.

Vantranist, SWIY should not be stealing meth from a roomate. It is not SWIY's possession, it is a violation of someone's privacy to go through their purse, and if a serious speed freak finds someone has been rooting through or stealing their supply, I do not even want to know what they would do to SWIY in retaliation. Just because SWIY's friend is a drug user or a well-supplied drug user doesn't mean stealing from them is any different than stealing from anyone else.

I think if SWIY is dreaming about meth every night, than SWIY is most likely obsessed with meth as a drug. And if SWIY were to make a regular habit of meth, while already being mentally obsessed with it, SWIY would probably end up severely addicted. Perhaps SWIY should seek counciling to try to sort out his feelings about this drug, and to sort out these obsessive dreams! Dreaming about a drug every single night, and stealing it when it can't be afforded, sound like symptoms of an addictive or obsessive personality, to me. Please be very careful because people with addictive personalities often get so badly hooked on this particular drug that it becomes nearly impossible to ever stop using it... especially for users willing to steal in order to keep up their habit.

I belive its the feeling of meth.... Another weird thing was the first time SWIM did speed it was in the form of an ecstasy pill sold as ecstasy SWIM had never done MDMA before so figared that speed he felt was and MDMA high... He dreamed about MDMA pills "ecstasy" for a while along with cystal... onc eSWIM got true MDMA witch felt nice and all it was no tweak and the dreams about Pills disapeared and now he only dreams about cystal.

SWIM thought MDMA and Meht just felt vey similar like coke and meth, so he asumed he was dreaming about MDMA but really it was meth all along.

Keep going, kid. There's more at play. Obviously toss the meth. But start looking deeper. It's there to help you - not hurt you. You know your a thief. Repeating dreams would bother banging that over your head like some guy in a black dress with a Bible. It's a deeper journey.

Vantranist -- that is very strange that SWIY is having those types of dreams because SWIM has been having dreams every night about cocaine for the past week or so..and she has never even done cocaine. strange huh? in these dreams she also cannot get it and it gets really frustrating, and in waking life when she tries to obtain coke..every single time, it doesn't come through, people rip her off, it's dry in the area, etc etc..

so it's probably obvious that these types of dreams are either the brain's way of sorting out the frustrations of being unable to get it in reality (or getting it in dishonest ways) or it is pointing to a bigger issue underlying the motivations/reasons for wanting to persue the drug so much in the first place.

swim use to dream about coke every night untill swim stopped useing it so much... swim now has the dreams only about once every 2 weeks... also in my dreams swim always had a lot... im talkin about an oz or so of it so swim was cool and the effects in the dream felt like real life of doing the drug... it was cool untill swim had to wake up every day wantin coke so bad because of the dream............. swim stole money from his friends grandma a lot to buy coke with (not in the dream but in real life)... so for awhile it was easy to get untill they found out money was missing... there has only been a few times in swims case where he could get coke easy.............. i think that if you want somthin bad enough then its possible to dream about it EVERY night untill you stop wanting it so much... try to lay off the tweak some but if swiy like it a lot dont fully drop it but dont do it so much swiy is addicted

It is a part of the addiction to it. Even after abstaining, swim would have meth dreams and wake up going oh crap I just used. They go away with abstainance or are not as bad. Now the more one uses of speed, the more meth dreams one will have. Part of the mental addiction.

For SWIM actually when he didnt have i is when the dreams were the most.

The longer he goes without the more frequent they get, by far.

In SWIM's experience it is all part of the withdrawal process, the stronger the addiction, the more intense and frequent the dreams. Years ago in rehab SWIM had a fascinating one about another resident coming to group therapy with a huge bag of heroin and another huge bag of needles and everyone sat in a circle blasting it. More recently SWIM dreamed she was hanging with a couple from hollywood and they wouldn't pass the meth pipe to her. Almost all SWIM's drug dreams have occured while SWIM was withdrawing, in almost all of them something prevented her from actually taking the drug and they always became less frequent the longer she was abstinent.

You may be on to somthing..... as too why i only get them when i dont have it, perhaps its withdrawl and i dont know it.

SWIM can never get his shit either, funny how it works out.. in ur dreams, ya right...

for swim when he went a day or 2 without coke he would have dreams about it everynight untill he got it.... once he stopped doing it, the dreams stopped after about 2 months (swim did not go the full 2 months without coke, he still has not fully stopped but has largly improved). now swim has the dreams sometimes but not every night like he use to...... i think that if swiy stops useing so much meth swiy will stop dreaming about it so much, just give it some time

well see swim dreams about meth once in a while, and it's because swim wants to use it so bad, but doesn't want to really subconciously. so in swims dream swim overdoses constantly. swim thinks that swiys subconcious is telling swiy that swiy doesn't really want to even try it.
