Ingenious Idea for Fentanyl Administration?

I was just thinking... could someone hypothetically mix fentanyl gel from a patch into a bottle of shampoo? If a specific mcg/capfull level could be reached, it could be adjusted to have one washing's worth of shampoo contain one dose. The shampoo will sit in the hair, frequently re-mixed, for one hour. This would be done during a long soak in a relatively shallow/drown-proof bathtub of very warm water.

I'd say the major problem with that idea would be that the majority of the shampoo would be sitting on the hair itself rather than the scalp, depending on how much hair you have. Although opiate laced hygiene products is an excellent idea to promote good hygiene =)

that and shampoo left in the hair for an hour would probably burn and mess up the scalp. now if it were somehow mixed into a lotion... or some kind of oil rub, that could work. there also could be reactive or destructive elements in the shampoo that could change or destroy the opiates in any hygiene product.

The patch works very well, and what if you needed pain releif often...you would spend the whole day in the shower.
