Weird response to Kratom: any ideas?

Last week, Swim used 9 grams of Kratom for his first time (he has no opiate tollerance now) and experienced a great high similar to 20mg of hydrocodone. Today SWIM took 12 grams of Kratom spaced out over 3 hours and barley felt anything!

Could this have happened because SWIM took a crapload of Adderall last night and got like 3 hours of sleep? SWIM doesnt know why that should matter but SWIM hopes that's the reason SWIM didn't get high. One other thing, SWIM currently has Thai Kratom. Does Bali Kratom provide a more euphoric high? Thanks!
