Smoking Salvia Divinorum Out of a Bong?

SYIM recently got some 5x salvia, and would like to smoke it in a bong, but is worried his bowl is too wide and he wont be able to pack much without the salvia falling down the bong into the bong water, how do other people "pack" bowls when salvia extract particles are so small

Yes, SWIY needs a screen or an improvised screen... either ask for a pack of wire mesh screens at a head shop, or get some aluminum foil, fold it down into the bowl so it takes the shape of the bowl, tape it at the edges, and puncture a series of holes in the middle with a needle. If SWIY really can't afford or find a mesh screen, that's a ghetto solution that might work decently.

SWIM suggests foil. The first time he did extract, he just made an apple bong with a foil screen. It's unhealthy, but then again it's not that much extract.

But the best would be a normal screen.

Yes, this should work just fine.

My cat suggests that before swiy uses a metal screen that swiy holds it with some tweezers or needle nosed pliers or some such and burn it off. Don't forget to hold a different area with and burn the unburnt portion, after it cools a bit.

Swim has smoked plain salvia leaves out of a gravity bong before, which considerably enhanced the effects...

Don't use foil! it will work, but apparantly can give swiy alluminium poisoning.
(if swiy's must use foil )at least give it a good burn first like advised for gauze.
swim has put salvia in a bong. 10x is extremely potent,if swiy's not familiar with it go very easy on it and make sure someone is there keeping an eye on swiy (tripsitter) preferebly someone who's done it before.at very least they may have to take bong from swiy(as swiy may not know which dimension to put it down in!).
It will be the most crazy thing swiy's ever done probably
put some ash or parsley or something on top of gauze then salvia.
Use a good lighter maybe one of those jet lighters or get swiy's sitter to put another light on it as well, light it(yes, 2 lighters at same time).Salvia likes to burn hot. this definately makes it more potent.

Q4T! This is the way my alien friend did it, and boy, did it ever work effectively! It was a first use, and one of its compadres agreed to tripsit. Midway through the second pull from the tube, compadre had to take the instrument and secure it, and then watch my alien friend lose consciousness (at least in this reality), only to gain it back 8 minutes later. Luckily, the compadre was keen to these sorts of experiments, and didn't freak out. At one point(though he didn't know it), the alien tried to get up and walk around (NOT ADVISED).

Afterward, the alien reported a warm glow that lasted the rest of the evening. It slept soundly, and if there were any after-effects, they were negligible.

It took several weeks for the alien to piece together what it may or may not have seen. In fact, the alien is pretty sure that it reached the amnesiac level of the trip, where it just doesnt' remember what happened. That's sad, because from the few pieces it told me, it sounded great.

Tell SWIY to be careful. And, let us know what his findings are. My alien friend said he'd like to try it again, but compadre refuses to tripsit again (he was shaken by the alien's sudden and unpredictable reactions), and the alien doesn't trust anyone else quite that much....

I wouldn't use foil either. I used to use it along time ago for weed and stuff too but have stopped ever since I heard it can have some bad effects. Just use a screen they are very cheap and work well. I had my most intense experience ever (on my first time too :S) using a large 3-foot bong and 30x extract. It was insane.

A pipe is better. The salvornin precipitates to fast in the chamber weakening the effects, and water eats it up even worse. Go with a nice small pipe, no chamber, maybe a carb.

The bong works great and it helps it not burn so bad in the lungs. Remember that one should use a torch lighter too. It is much easier to do 40X extract because of the small amount needed to inhale.

Swiy can also use the screens commonly found in sink faucets, too. These are the same size as the small screens that can be purchased at headshops, but Swim suggests cleaning them thoroughly, especially if the faucet is older. As far as swim knows, they are found just under the part of the faucet that unscrews. Good luck with the 5x, swim has smoked it with the desired effect in a regular glass bowl, but has also heard that a bong is the most desirable way to do it.
