Cocaine in the luggage....?!

SWIM's luggage was lost on its way from Washington to Paris, and he says he had about 1.5g of cocaine in it...it was hidden really good, but his question is: what if somebody HAD found it, during the internal check or something like that? US security is really tight nowadays from what I know. What might be the legal consequences? How can he know about what had happened?
SWIM is in Paris allready, but sadly without his luggage and has been freeking out. There was another person without luggage, but that other person might have been a bag mix-up.

SWITWIN should calm down. "Internal checks" are far from customary and that's not what they are looking for, especially in such small quantities.

something similar happened to swim two years ago with a different illegal substance in his luggage that was delayed, but it just turned out his luggage had been genuinly delayed, swim reckons they would stop swiy at the airport if they had found something

Yer they'd wait till you recieved you bag then pounce. Rather then keeping the bag then hunt you down.
