Are Amazonians and Mexicanas strains of Cubensis?

SWIM just bought 2g of shrooms from a friend-of-a-friend dealer. He asked the guy if they were p. Cubensis. He told SWIM he had two options, one was a mixed bag of Mexicanas and Amazonians and another was just Golden Caps. He advised on the Golden Caps, because he said the Mexicana/Amazonian mix could be iffy. Both options cost the same, so SWIM took the Golden Caps.

SWIM didn't have access to Erowid, but now looking at their psilocybin comparison chart he doesn't see Mexicanas or Amazonians listed. However, a Google of the name brought up Psilocybe Cubensis Mexicanas (but nothing for Amazonians) leading SWIM to believe that Mexicanas are a strain of Cubensis. Is this correct?

SWIM couldn't find anything about Golden Caps, Any idea one what their proper name is? He's heard the name in passing, but can't remember details.

Should he have gotten the Amazonian/Mexicana mix?
