Daily use of adderall without ADHD

Does anyone see problems with this? I mean, the drug is supposed to be taken daily by many ADHD sufferers. So, do you think that consuming it every day as a performance enhancer similarly to say, a cup of coffee, would be a problem?

Be ready to accept the fact that swiy will develop an addiction doing this, which will have to be dealt with at some point unless he intends on taking the drug for the rest of his life.

I don't suggest a daily use of Adderall for anyone whether they have ADHD or not. You'll become very mentally addicted to it and your tolerance to the drug raises very fast. I'm just now trying to force myself to get away from taking this substance and it's getting hard. After awhile you'll start to begin to think that you can't be happy unless you're under the influence of it. Atleast, that's how I currently feel..

That feeling will pass in time, it is the addiction of it that has you feeling that way. Swim can relate as she couldn't stop taking adderall for a while either. Swim justified it by saying well it is medicine and not street stuff. Swim was kidding herself as she couldn't stop taking it either for a while.

It's a drug that has basically a constanct effect on you the entire day if you use it everyday - so basically you are living the "high." Which means that when it comes time to stop, you're going to mentally feel like you can't be happy unless you're on it.

Yes it would end up a problem if one is not using it for adhd. Adderall is speed and swiy could end up with the same problem as any other speed user. Swim is going back to the original question cause it sort of was not answered directly.

That is true, that is mental addiction. In time while staying off it, that feeling will pass. But one would really have to stay off of it. Any young swimmer can be happy again, not the same, but can achieve happiness and peace what swim feels is the most importance aspect. While in the maintanance part of the addiction, swiys are really not happy, that is the nature of the insanity.

swim would like to comment about daily use of adderall without truly having ADHD. swim convinced his doctor to prescribe a single xr30/day because it helped in the past when he was having similar issues to what's going on in his life right now. swim then went back to the doctor and got his prescription increased to 60mg/day.

swim used to be able to swallow an unaltered xr30 in the morning upon waking up and feel just great for the rest of the day. that quickly changed over the period of 4 weeks since the start of daily use (it had been five years since he's used adderall). swim's daily dose is now at least 200mg, sometimes up to 360mg or more. swim has taken over 100 30's in the past month, and has not felt the high of the drug for two weeks. over the past few days his tolerance increased drastically (after taking somewhere around 1g over 70 hours of being awake) the poor guy has to take 7 to 12 30's (in a variation of under the tongue, snorting, crushing & putting back in capsule/swallowing, swallowing regularly) every day to maintain his sanity.

swim will keep taking more and more of the drug to try and feel the high again, but just ends up feeling sleepy all the time.

swim would very very strongly recommend against daily use of the drug for any reason other than ADD/ADHD. he says the tolerance will build so insanely quickly that nobody under any circumstance should use the drug daily as a generic "mood booster" or "performance enhancer" or to be able to sleep less and still be awake the whole day. he says it would be a matter of DAYS before the dosage would need to be increased.

as with any drug, moderation is key. swim says it could be used at a party or if someone ends up staying up really late for some reason...but he says it shouldn't be used more than once a week, and even that's pushing it.

yea really the key about people with add/adhd who take these things daily is that the benifits on attention carry on beyond being able to 'feel' the medication, or have it keep them awake for that matter. If it's being taken to stay awake, like others have said the dose will need to be increased quickly. If SWIY wants to take amphetamines to stay awake and get work done, the effects likely wont dwindle too much if use is kept to 2-3 times per week max and never two days in a row. This however is not much of a match for coffee getting drank every day.. then again, in the end caffeine is just being taken to bring wakefullness back to baseline once addiction has set in, so maybe its the same thing?
