I like alot of thier songs. This particular one is about shooting heroin under a bridge in LA. If you have not read anthony Keidi's Autobiography you should. His life was fucking nuts.

Yeah, Kiedis really lived a long, strange, and beautiful life. He's lucky to still be alive and in such great shape. I envy him.

RHCP are my favorite band of all-time though. I was really into Hendrix, the Beatles, the Doors, etc. until Californication came out. That changed everything for me.

The greatest RHCP drug related song is "Dosed," even though it's more about a friend who died from drugs (specifics weren't named), it's beautiful and a song SWIM always enjoys getting high to.

"Charlie" on the new album seems to be suspisciously about coke too, even though they adamently deny it. But, I mean, just check out the lyrics - "When I pick up on that smell, Pick it up and run like hell, Little woman save me some, Better get up on your run --- So much more than Charlie's wakin´ me, To my core and Charlie's shakin´ me and tell my story and Charlie's makin´ me --- And Charlie's makin´ me smile Oh oh now."

RHCP's a band that makes me feel high naturally. They pick me up and make me feel better when I'm down on myself. I don't know where I'd be without them in life, and even if you don't like their music, I hope that you have a band out there that moves you the way that RHCP moves me.

Swia loves that song, it always makes her happy her other favorite is porcelain. Universally speaking is on her happy pile too

Generally swia just love the chilies , shes not so sure on there latest stuff thou.
