i have only been smokin for a few months, and i cant remember what i did just a few days ago. i have been completly strait for almost three weeks now, but my memory is still horrible. it takes me forever just to remember what happened last night, and even then, im not really sure. will my memory get better as time goes on? has anyone else had these effects?

Short term memory loss is a very common side effect of cannabis (and drug use in general!), especially if you've been smoking a lot. Some people are more prone to it than others - just luck of the draw I'm afraid!

You're memory should recover in time, but be patient. Gingko Biloba helps sharpen the brain, as does vitamin B complex and vitamin E(that is the vitamin called E, not Ecstasy!) - you should be able to get these from any health food shop. Look on the Web for memory aids - exercises to help improve memory. The human brain, especially the memory, is very much like a muscle - if it's not exercised regularly and properly it'll either wither or turn to flab!

Staying off the weed is the best thing you can do. People vastly underestimate this plant, and not everyone can use it without ill effects, especially the stronger strains.

You should be o.k. in time, but keep the grey matter active and stay off the weed!

One consolation that I've found is that the memory impairment is reversible; given enough time without cannabis usage, my mind will clear up. Hope you are the same way!

ive had effects like this for years now. the other day I was on the fone to a mate and we arranged to meet up, I rang him back like 2 minutes later cos i'd forgotten were and when we'd arranged to meet. Hell, im suprised i can remember that. Effects like this are common, you'll either have to live with it or give up smoking.
