Re: Novelty value wears off BZP

Budgie tried it about 4 times, and every time he had really bad stomach pains the next day..there are plenty of other things that are a lot more enjoyable. People just realised that the negative far, far outweighs the positive with this particular substance he thinks..

He doesn't know why it became popular in the first place, it's not exactly the greatest feeling (very unlike MDMA for instance) and its corrosive. It's always had a toxic feel to Budgie. He knows exactly what swiy means about the disorientation, etc..
Why anybody would want to put that in their stomach is anybody's guess.

Re: Novelty value wears off BZP

Funny, my pet cat quite enjoys a dose of BZP/TFMPP

he has consumed this combo perhaps 20 or so times and still really enjoy it. (although doses are spaced months apart now)

However every other friend of my pet cat who initially liked the combo, now would rather not consume it..

reactions to piperazines varies widely.... Listen to your body

The ability for BZP to induce dependence initially looks marked, as it has a pronounced central dopaminergic action3, but if one considers all the factors, this may not be so. Tolerance to BZP's central action will develop quickly, as it probably accumulates in synaptic vesicles in the same fashion as amphetamine, while tolerance to BZP's peripheral blockade of α2-adrenoreceptors will be limited or nonexistent. This will moderate the abuse potential, since if dependence does develop it will occur along with central tolerance, and if an individual tries to up the dose of BZP to overcome the tolerance, the peripheral effects (mediated by the α2 receptor) would be intolerable.

Apparently this was a big part of the rationale behind the New Zealand government legalising BZP - after prolonged usage, the positive effects diminish and the negative effects increase. It's quite a good substance if you're looking for something with recreational potential but an intrinsic inability to be abused.

Re: Novelty value wears off BZP

SWIM flushed over 100g of BZP many years ago because it was so toxic and such a letdown. SWIM would sometimes dip in when nothing else was around and always regretted it later. SWIM thinks this stuff probably does some harm to those who can tolerate using it on a regular basis. That said, in high doses alone it was a somewhat dirty but euphoric stimulant, esp if combined with GHB which smoothed out a lot if the negative high-dose effects. SWIM does not miss this one, though.. SWIM's first batch came dissolved in ammonia in a mason jar, and the lid was already corroded into a big green, crusty mass from minor leakage. Not very appealing stuff.
