safe to bring pot on airplane?

Hi, i was thinking about bringing some pot on a domestic flight. Just 1/8th. How dangerous do you guys think this would be? I was thinking about taping the bag to my inner leg. I think its pretty safe to do this, but let me know if im wrong.

i have brought pot on an airplane before, domestic.i gotta say it's just not worth it. weed is just to "big" and smelly. not to mention it will be the scariet flight of your life. i was shaking i was so scared, it was incredably stupid of me. It's just not worth it. if you want pot just buy some wherever you are going.

Before 9/11 it probably wasn't that big of a risk, but now, it would not be wise. 1/8 of pot is not worth your freedom man. DON'T DO IT.

hm I did it within europe about twice and I know of people who take stuff with them, a friend of mine even took some speed to canada, don't ask me why he did that I would never have tken suc ha risk. At the Airports here I hardly ever see any dogs but probably it's a lot different within the US..

Considering u want to bring weed with u from Amsterdam to Rotterdam u can probably just put it in ur wallet. In ur hidden section. Trie to vacuumpack it or somepthang. something that'll take the smell away.

Do you all think they have an xray that detects pot? Ive got a cousin who brings shit from cali almost monthly and has never had any trouble. Unless you see a canine when you're boarding, then your pocket is a safe enough place.

My cuz did this like 11 years ago, a little bud in the wallet..and it worked. He took a big risk then, and you would be taking an even greater one now- back then, he got away with it. Now, you'd probably get caught. Plus, if you look nervous, or put out nervous energy, they are more likely to fuck with you.

But its true about the big difference in the attitude of the
cops/customs at home (Netherlands) and abroad... I've never personally
experienced US cops/customs but when i arrived in OZ the attitude of
the customs people was a lot different than at home. They were walking
around with dogs and they kinda freaked me out even though i didn't
have anything on me...

If you really want to take something its always better to mail it ahead of you instead of carrying it along on a plane.

I've done it 3 times before without getting caught. I just put it in a air tight glass tube and hide it in my backpack. Definatly wounldn't tape it to your leg though.

Its not my risk Manda. Im just sugesting he could try it that way, hypotheticly speaking naturaly assuming hes not taking the airplane from a destination in Holland to another destination in Holland.

I dont know if ull get caught. I think it depends on where ur goin. I wouldnt fly in 2 JFK with a bag filled with bud. Bud I wouldnt make a big deal about takin 5 grams with me 2 the south of France.

So: R u familiar with the airport ur flying from 2 the place u r going as in security procedrus and such. If not, dont risk it. If u r, make ur own decision.

4 Instance I flew in2 Bordeaux. I walked past every checkpoint, didnt see any airport personel. But when I flew in 2 what I believe was JFK, I practicly got raped at any given oppertunity. Ofcourse it was just after 911 but i still wouldnt risk it.

Isn't 1 layer of vasseline and extra bag too little for tricking a

rarely check you.




I've been to many countries, and it is like upto 50% chance that the customs
stop me (especially the Swedish, they must hate me!!). They have
exrayed me, taken ultra sound.. and I've stripped twice. Half of the
occations when they stopped me they just spoke to me (usually it was
the non-western customs)...





It also happened they x-rayed everything I had with me.. piece by
piece. Even things like books, they watch it, flip pages, and see it is
a book.. still they x-ray it. They have also photo copied every piece
of paper and note I had with me.. checked numbers in the cell phone.. I've also been
accused for carrying drugs when I didn't. I've been told I am arrested,
even if I had nothing. (Yes, Swedes!!).




I've never transported some drug and never will do it. But there are occations I took more cigarettes and alcohol then I was
allowed, then I got everytime through (even if customs saw I got too much). Same when I brought a suitcase full of
pirated CD's.. the time I had the CD's they watched everything but the
suitcase with the discs. Lucky me.





Also in domestic flight I have been stopped. There shouldn't be
customs on the domestic flights. I had to for example to put my hands
inside my pants and shake around in the crotch.





So far I am happy that no customs sticked their hands into my ass.

if your looking to fool the dogs, get a food shrinker (i'm not sure what they are really called, but it's this machine that uses a certain type of plastic bags and sucks all the the air out of the bag and closes it tightly, no air in the inside and no smell can get to the outside) then wash the plastic bag with a mild soapthat the cannabis is in to ensure they is no trace evidence of resin on the bag.

I wouldNEVER try this on a planeand would advise you NOT to do it either, but if you really want to go ahead with it you could try to take a deodorant bottle with a rollerball on top, empty it, don't wash it out, put the cannabis in a bag inside and close it again. Then the drugs aren't visible (I don't know about X-rays though), in an unsuspecting placeand it is said the dogs can'tsmellthem that way. I heard this from people who take weed across the Dutch/German border like this (by train).Controlling must be over 100 times stricter on US airports than at the Dutch/German railroadborders however, and penalties much more severe, so I think it is not worth it at all.

I've flown from England to Spain with 1/8th in my carry on bag. I put the weed in the freezer the night before then put the plastic bag in a tub of Sudocreme (spot cream) and that worked fine. (I know it's worked for some friends too).


I'd only be prepared to do it in Europe myself though, from what I've seen of US security and customs I'd be way too scared. Last time I was in California, some security guard searched my bag because the dog smelled a ham sandwich i had. =/

The security guards in airports aren't looking for drugs - they're
looking for weapons. I have friends who have taken pot and many other
drugs on airplanes without trouble. One thing to look for is the code
SSSS on the bottom right corner of your boarding pass - it's a
semi-random thing that means you're going to be "thoroughly" searched,
which involves the guards looking through your bags, patting you down,
and looking in your shoes. If you're really careful with the pot, they
probably won't detect it, especially if you put it somewhere they're
not going to pat down. Also, I've never seen drug dogs at an airport,
even post 9/11. Everyone else is right, though - the risk, even if it's
not very big, probably isn't worth it.

Buekerc1 Mentioned the vacume sealer and this has worked well for Swim many times. The key is to put it in the bag and seal it with some air in it (So your pot is not squashed). then wash the bag and seal it again in another bag with the vacume, the double layer will fool the dogs It is only a matter of not letting customs see it. I have had my bags searched a number of times but I have never had them ask me to turn out my pockets.
